Agree, especially with where UT was in their own messes at the time. However, it's pretty clear Schaino knew based on the testimony of the coach that brought the PSU House of Shame down (thankfully). Joe Pa's right hand left tracks for decades that they ignored. We will never know what was contained in the depositions and other evidence that was ruled out and excluded from both the criminal and civil trials. Based on the hammering they received I would bet it was really bad based on how far up the chain into the governor's office the fallout reached, but that's just a guess on my part.

I too bought into the Headley hype but why are we giving him a pass on this year?

I never like to see coaches has dramatic drops in success and that's what he did this year.

Clay is the only one going to bat for us. He’s always had our back. Media be damned. They don’t like our “trailer park trash” no matter who our coach is. The best teams have always won when there’s an us agains the world attitude and I hope that’s what F&P are bringing to the table. Incidents aside, that’s how I perceived hiring Freeze. Kinda like a “Gaulden Salute” to everyone else and a warning shot across the bow. TN is coming for all of you and there’s going to be hell to pay.

Did some searching around on Tee Martin and FSU fans think Freeze would bring him in as WR coach.

Also some smoke that he’d get a call from Austin Peay.

Clay is a fan and becoming a big player in the national media spotlight.

It's nice having one on our side. I'm sick of being preached to by elitists who think our place in college football is as a second or third rate program.

I'm not his biggest fan but, I hope he absolutely flames every other national media member who dares to disagree with him.

I’m beginning to think no one really knows outside of Pruitt, Fulmer, and Freeze’s camp. Anything is possible right now, but so is the possibility that we errantly thought the PR stuff would come from UT’s side. Maybe it’s been from Freeze’s side all along.

Since supposedly a decision was made, we’ve heard Freeze’s name linked to Auburn, Alabama, FSU, and Liberty (and I might be missing a couple). This all points to Sexton/Freeze driving the train.

Think of it this way, what would it benefit the school to have UT outlets pumping up Freeze? That’s the fox guarding the hen house and doesn’t help perception. And this is 💯 about perception at this point.

I mean, there is already an article accusing Freeze of being a pedophile with first hand sources of girls saying he made them undress in front of them and stuff when he was at Briarcrest.

And a first hand source is closer than the 3rd hand source people here take as gospel against Schiano.

And I’ll get roasted for just stating those facts.

That's true, but that was because of his first 2 seasons. He received an extension after his 3rd season, in which CMU broke .500, and managed to break .500 the next 2 seasons before leaving for Bama. OTOH, Kiffin, although having an 11 win season his first year at FAU, went 5-7 his 2nd season, so maybe lost a bit of the luster he created that first season.

Beginning to think? LOL. I've known that from the beginning. Pruitt runs a tight ship and all these "experts" and "insiders"know nil about what he wants or who he is talking with. Best thing to do is laugh at this place and just wait and see what he decides on.

VQ updates from last night cemented it for me. They’re almost always first to know things, even with this staff. They are clueless right now, or are playing a great game of poker.

I’d probably recommend the DII team though, they are a great group of guys off the pitch too. Both teams are very accepting of new players regardless of experience and they usually play a second game every Saturday after the main one so the less experienced players still get some action while learning the game and growing their skills/knowledge. They are probably not practicing until January because of the holidays but I can definitely check the Facebook group and get some info for you if you’d like.
