Per Bama 247 they have an excellent source that said to watch Freeze to Bama when he was telling this source that Freeze was hot name for TN. The source said it was "in the works" for the past wk and Freeze was waiting on this to open before taking a FSU, TN or Liberty job. If not Freeze then Enos as Saban really likes him.

So I tend to trust them more in this than any of our guys. Seems that Freeze connects played our guys and blamed admin for hold up when it was him the whole time. Sexton played vol twitter company strong

He said it's not a done deal by any means though

Why are we not committed to hiring the best possible candidate?

Because clearly some people (I don't know specifically who) are not comfortable with Freeze and the other schools appear to be. Now, right now no one has hired Freeze. Some of my sources say he's going to have multiple offers and I believe he will be coaching next week somewhere.

Why is Tennessee the only one who seems to have concerns with Freeze ? I don't know that. I know Fulmer has known Freeze since he was coaching at Briarcrest. Fulmer was in that school many times and dealt with Freeze in recruiting.

The vetting process is interesting in that many times you can get talked into believing about anything depending on who you call.

For example what if a school called Houston Nutt about Freeze (not sure why you would) but Nutt I'm sure would crush him. I don't know what Matt Luke would have to say if someone were to call him. Maybe other schools got different information or didn't vet him as much. Everyone handles those things differently.

Alabama for example has been known to take guy with issues in the past and "rehab" them.
