I understand. It's been a rough few weeks for sure. But, let's let it play out just a little. Bryant did not set the world on fire at Clemson. He might be great at Missouri or he might not. Anyway, it's way too early to start pre-worrying about Missouri. I have been critical of you many times but I get you just want to win like the rest of us. We will. I just hope we're all alive when it happens again, LOL.

Early 2017 The UT BOT approved John Curry as UTAD despite both Phillip Fulmer and David Blackburn being hugely qualified and fan favorites. He was put forth by Bev Davenport, the current UT chancellor at the time. Fast forward 9 months and after a botched attempt to hire a head coach, bev removes Curry from his position and appoints Phillip Fulmer as acting AD and turns the search over to him. A few days later coach Fulmer hire Jeremy Pruitt to lead the Vols. A few weeks later Bev Davenport was removed as chancellor. So, where does that leave us? It leaves us with many of the same people behind the scenes that didn't want Fulmer as our AD to begin with. The same people that would like nothing else but to see Coach Pruitt fail thus Coach Fulmer fail. These people will.put up every road block possible to make sure they can say "That's why we didn't want coach fulmer to begin with". Does Fulmer have some allies? Sure. But he has some major detractors as well. The coup that occurred in November/December of last year helped a lot but it didn't fix everything. Vol fans won the battle that day but they sure as hell haven't won the war.

It’s unfathomable how alumni want their school’s top sport to fail so much, just so they can be right or have their guy in control. I mean I can’t stand some of the posters on this board, like Invol, but if he was AD and I was a 7-8 figure donor, then I would say “what do you need to be successful, so that we can make this football program great again?” Too many freaking egos on the Hill. Someone needs to stand up to all of them and take them down a few notches. When is the next board meeting? Maybe a huge contingent of us should go there and enter it and cause a riot.

It's been said before but I'll repeat it. If Pruitt didn't want freeze I'm good with that. My criteria was basically an experienced OC that could take our roster and maximize it to it's fullest potential. I personally thought Hugh Freeze fit that bill. If Pruitt thought Freeze fit the bill and wanted Freeze and he got pushback from the administration then that bothers me. My problem is not that we may have missed an opportunity with freeze but the lack of support of our head coach is disturbing.

It would seem that TN would have come out and made some kind of statement when the rumors about Freeze were rampant, if indeed Sexton and Freeze were the ones putting out all of this info to the media to drive interest in Freeze.

Soooo TLDR Pruitt thought he had Freeze. We can't get out of our own way, slow playing him while our second option Lindsey gets away. Now we lose Freeze to Bama and Lindsey to Kansas. Enos not interested. Locksley to Maryland. Back to square one looking like the baby who got the candy stolen YET AGAIN.

Haven't been on much the couple of days. About to do the hardest thing in my life so far. Moving my dad to an advanced memory loss center which means it will separate my mom and dad up after 68 yrs of marriage. I have had to search and find a bed for him and walk my mom through all the paper work and contract signing. Been a really stressful week so far. Going to be sad but the best care for him. Just ask for prayers from my VN brothers.

Ok. If that Bama 247 is correct, how could Freeze be the guy that AV said "we would be pleased with" last Saturday? Also how could Pruitt tell Lindsey to take a walk, without having a better candidate locked up? He had know Freeze would have other suitors.

The choice could have been made and it was Freeze, but Freeze put us on hold due to Bama opening...or the choice could have been made by Pruitt/Fulmer, but when taken to the head idiots, it got nixed. We just received a commitment from the no.3 2020 qb in the country, probably going to finish the '19 class in the top 10, finally appear to have some semblance of stability at AD, S&C, and HC, have a measurably more friendly schedule next year, return all but 4 starters, and folks are talking about canceling season tickets based on literally NO OFFICIAL INFORMATION. jfc, guys. just chill for like, a second.
