Zach Smith going on a tweet rampage right now

Not a good look
So glad we boycotted schiano. Tom Herman hasn't been there in years and he keeps getting dragged into this thing. OSU apparently doesn't mind trying to implicate former coaches in this. They decided to confirm that Herman was with Zach Smith at some strip club on a recruiting trip back in '14. Now he's getting asked about it at game week press conferences. He wasn't even coaching at OSU in 2015 when Courtney sent those pics to urb's wife.

The ubben mailbag on the athletic was great. I do have some thoughts on Pruitt and Alabama to add:

1. Pruitt is from sand mountain, it’s much closer to Chattanooga than Tuscaloosa. Yes, it’s bama territory, but many of us snuck up to sand mountain in our younger years for shenanigans.
2. Players often have a different fandom of a school than normal fans. For instance, I have a friend who played for FSU and won a NT there with Bowden, he then went to grad school at UF. He’s now a UF fan. They’ve been through it and it’s not the same feel as those of us who are just on the sidelines watching. Lots of things are like this, once you’re in the inner circle things aren’t quite as mystical.
3. I very much agree that being the coach who follows Saban is not going to be a fun job.
4. If Pruitt is in the running for that job, then he’s got it rolling here with an AD that at least now is behind him 100%. I cant imagine he’d want to give that up.

Here is a way more informative article about it.

Texas Head Coach Tom Herman Was Part of Zach Smith's 2014 Strip Club Trip

Stadium's Brett McMurphy reported Aug. 22 that Smith had a bill totaling $600 and was warned by Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer he'd be fired if he made a similar excursion. According to Eleven Warriors, a clause in the Ohio State coaches' manuals included a passage specifically mentioning strip clubs after Smith's incident:

So urb would have fired him for going to a strip club and actually changed the coaches manuals to make it an official rule. But beating his pregnant wife was not a offense worthy of punishment unless somebody found out 3 years later. In case you don't want to click the tweet to see the policy made due to this incident it reads:

5. Morality Clause: Avoid strip clubs or venues that would embarrass The Ohio State University. You are public figures and your conduct is scrutinized and you are held to a higher standard. No pornography is allowed on any university issued computer, phone, IPad, ets...

I think it's funny that the "Morality Clause" is only about not embarrassing the school and has nothing to do with actual morality. And that he apparently violated that many other times as well without receiving punishment since nobody found out about it. So it wasn't embarrassing the school so it apparently didn't violate "morality".

I remember us using the same arguments on #3 and #4 for Kiffin and USC when UT first hired Kiffin. #3 turned out to be true but that didn't stop Kiffin from taking the job and getting fired. On #4 USC was such a mess due to NCAA violations that a completely unproven Kiffin got the job.

I'll say this, if UT wanted a top tier coach that bleeds orange and will never leave then they have to develop one. And to do that, they need a program that's in much better shape then it has been for the last 10 years.

I expect to beat the 3 cupcakes, vandy Kentucky Mizzou every year and I don’t see a reason we shouldn’t beat one of SC, WVU, UF

Absolutely agree here, with some slight objection to Mizzou, based solely on our expectations pertaining to this year. Next year and moving forward, all three- Vandy/Kentucky/Mizzou should be considered preseason auto-wins.

Next step is beating Carolina better than 75% of the time, and after that comes beating Florida and our rotating SECW opponent at least 50% of the time. Looking at the SEC like a ladder, that should put us on the top rung or two, where Auburn currently resides.
