I don't see how keeping Holly is even a discussion unless you believe having Pat's hand chosen successor in the role is more important than having a winning program that takes advantage of the legacy Pat built internationally over 3 decades.

If appropriate, Phil needs to get Phil out of the way. He shouldn't transfer his feelings about how he was treated onto what is the right choice to make as an AD for the LV's. Again, if more LV fans stop going to games and donating, it will change. The casual fans/UT supporters have already left for the most part.

I understand some ardent women supporters may not like it. They obviously do not know one thing about the actual game. For 7 years we have seen it deteriorate. The system, or lack thereof, stinks. The effort stinks. The conditioning stinks. The recruiting stinks - evidence - no real PG on the roster and no dominating C. This going back to Pat's fundamentals is all words to try and buy another year. They used Pat's fundamentals all along, Holly just does not know how to be a head coach. She comes across to players as clueless at times, which is why there has been roster dissension for years.

Done with LV's until they pick a new HC.

You've seen what I think about Holly enough to know that I don't think she has any intention of resigning and is riding it out as long as she can for the money. If Phil/rest of UT let her, they really don't care about the program at all. Fans should act accordingly like they do in the men's sports. Stop going, stop donating to it.
There are people on Facebook still defending her. They say that a coach can only do so much and it's not her fault if the players are not motivated. Tone. Deaf.

Count it when he picks the ball up from the point of contact.i counted (maybe) 3 but it was really close.making a major game deciding call like that is what they fans complain about that swings a game which is why getting any whistle in the final seconds is very rare unless it’s obvious.
If it's traveling in the first half, it should be traveling then. Clutch shot but he definitely took extra steps.

It's clear Holly doesn't want to resign and UT doesn't want to fire her this year. The last thing Fulmer wants is another high-profile coaching search, and the last thing UT wants is to pay another buyout. It's an ugly situation.

Yeah, those games next year will lose money. I am waiting on some of the players to transfer. Some seemed really unhappy with the staff and each other. What happen to the days when you give someone the reins to run with for 7 years and no success to show for it and afraid to fire that unsuccessful coach. Let's just let it go to the gutters like our football program has as it seems we don't learn from our pass very well.

Yes in Sweet 16. Dome arena. First half we were on end of court that was enclosed and Ohio St was shooting on the open cavernous side of the dome. They were ice cold first half. Roles completely reversed second half. We couldn’t hit water from a boat.

Officiating in the second half changed too. We couldn’t breath on Mike Conley. We shot 51% from three and had 7 turnovers. How did we lose? They shot twice as many free throws, and we were less than 50% on the ones we got.

Probably the most disgusted I have been after a UT basketball game.

You probably know more than I do behind the scenes, but her the strength she’s shown in public doesn’t necessarily match how she feels in private. Doesn’t mean she wants to hand the reigns to someone else, but she’s as tormented about this as anyone.

Yikes. I recently went to a leadership retreat, and the instructor was telling a story about being approached and asked to help an SEC soccer team (didn’t name it). The coach wanted advice because he said the players didn’t communicate, were unmotivated, and didn’t play as a team. The instructor had the team do a blind survey to critique the coaching staff, and the results were that the staff did not communicate, were unmotivated, and didn’t work as a team.

Leadership breeds motivation, accountability, and commitment. Sure, poor execution can be a player problem, but ultimately, the coach is responsible for his/her team.

Just saying in the final seconds you will not get that call or much less any call in the final seconds of a game that will decide the outcome unless it is obvious.

The program is already losing money. Hiring a new coach will cost even more, deepening the losses. The damage is done. When a player dumps on the coaching staff in the media, issues have been allowed to go too far for too long. You're right-- UT makes the same mistakes over and over and over.

It’s been given plenty of time and it ain’t working. Trying to pinch some pennies now costs more when you finally get serious about fixing it. And UT WILL fix women’s basketball.

What's very telling is that I had completely forgot about the lady Vols playing yesterday. Then one of my friends, a Louisville fan, texted me and said "Holly is in trouble". I was with my sister, helping her move, and she had forgotten. She was once a huge lady vol fan, had season tickets. They can fire Holly or continue to lose the fan base. Once you lose them, they can be difficult to get back. You think the UT administration would have learned this by now.

Absolutely. If the coach can't motivate, lead, inspire and discipline the team, then that is totally on the coach.
