It feels like we’re stuck in some nightmare we can’t wake up from. Like the kid said in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, “if you drink blood, you not wake up from nightmare.”

I think we drank the blood of Kali.
This is so true...none of this makes any sense...at all. They would almost have to be trying to lose to play this crappy. I do not understand this at all. It is insane.

Literally the only person I’ve heard say 5-7. 7-5 or above is 90% around here with a few 6 wins. @chavisut thought 5 was possible. I thought half the team would have to be injured first. But now...
He says the same stuff every year. And if this had honestly been a 9 win team, he still would have said it.

App State game felt pretty bad. But we knew we had Dobbs and AK. I have no confidence in our QB.
Yes that was bad, but it was a win at least. Other than our kickers, I don't really have confidence in anything. Well, our receivers also, but the ball has to be close to them to make a play on. It seems like all the pieces are there, but they have no idea how to put them all together.

There is nothing about his response that gives me any hope for the future. It's high schoolish. He's not watching the same game I am. He thinks the players were ready to play The coaches knew the schedule, they had film on Georgia State. It was the same O as last season. They played the same D scheme. What exactly was he looking at that just made it so difficult for his talented players to compete against that mighty opponent? What O-line techniques and blocking schemes just blew our poor little guys' minds on how to line up, much less beat a Georgia State lineman and make a tackle at or behind the line? An unbalanced look? Like that's never happened before in all football history.

Wish I hadn't read that.

Nah, glad I know. Thanks for posting.

Leaving the stadium I was saying that Butch would have at least won this game. I was so mad, angry, felt all the range of emotions and was ready to fire Pruitt.

After I've calmed down somewhat and reflected, this really sucks. It does. It hurts and I'm embarrassed. But we played as bad as we possibly could, and their coaches had a really good game plan and the kids at GSU played the game of their lives. No matter what, when we come out next weekend, we will still be the most talented team on the field. We should beat BYU.

We can't let this one game beat us and define our season. Suck it the **** up, and get ready for BYU. At the end of the day, all of our goals are still on front of us. We're still 0-0 in conference. We have to get better and execute. We need to take it back to basics this week, making sure we are aligned on defense and not overthink things.

This team is still very talented, we just had a historically bad day. Believe it or not, we can still beat Florida, and have a really good year. Just have to get better and execute, and the good news is there's still time and opportunity.
This is one game that everybody thought was a w...everybody. The fact that we lost really hurts our chances of getting the wins to go bowling. No Excuse for this. None!

It’s over guys. Tell yourself whatever you need to cope with it, but the writing is on the wall.

Our coaches may have had prior success in their individual roles but there’s no CEO to make it cohesive.

15 or 20 years from now after Saban and Smart are retired maybe we luck into a Bruce Pearl type football guy that helps spark something new. For now, we’ve played ourselves off the stage of relevancy.
