You sure do have a unique take on an OC already being paid 1.3 million apparently by people that didn't care much for him.
Hope someone doesn't care that much for me one day.
It’s sad that the players have already resorted to defending their QB from fans on Twitter after one game. It was Ga State... should have rolled in handle your business and never looked back... instead we are 0-1. As far as I’m concerned they deserve criticism and if they can’t handle it then should have gone somewhere else.

Ask the same group of Vol fans to name their most hated Vol QB, and you’ll probably get a lot of befuddled looks. People would struggle to come up with a name.
We don’t think like that as fans. At least not usually.
Jarrett Guarantano making a push to go down as the first Vol QB I can really remember to be despised, actually despised, by a large swath of the fan base.
That kid needs a major attitude adjustment.
I do take that salary as "intention to keep" kinda pay. But it was reported somewhere that 1.6 was our second offer after Ga met our first, along with "something Ga couldn't offer". Which I believe it was to do with his daughter and her passion for equestrian blah blah. Don't remember exactly but I definitely do remember the "didn't want anyway" stuff was from butthurt Ga supporters.I understand the take is nuanced. It is about the relative relationship between the offers. Never said they did not want him. NEVER said that.
But unless I am mistaken, as someone has intimated, the only thing I have postulated is UGA did not put up much of a fight. Unless, of course, your position is that by continuing to pay him what they were already paying him is putting forth effort to keep him. Which, if one is disposed to be of the mind he was taken, would be, seemingly, a necessary take.
I really think Chaney probably emphasized this with him. He still did not play well but I think Chaney has told him to do it more instead of taking a sack. I'm not making excuses. He played very mediocre at best but I think they wanted him to check down some, just maybe not as much as he did.So can JG but he chooses to make sure he hits a check down instead of going for the big play. Gotta pad them stats bro.
None of them can take criticism these days. That’s the issue. They are already in the excuses and making fun of the loss. I expect an 0-2 start to the season.Exactly. That’s basically what I said. But it happened, and they are supporting their team mate. That’s the least of our worries. Your argument is more about winning the game, and that’s in the past.
