My wife wanted to breast feed our first but she could never latch on. We finally resorted to me feeding warmed up breast milk from a bottle while my wife pumped. We had quite a a surplus after a while. Needless to say, we were both tired as **** most days.
lol...i remember sitting on the ottaman in our living room bouncing her on my knee, like at 2 a.m. one night...not showered, exhausted, hat kinda on sidways and backwards, haven't shaved in 3 or 4 days......

looked at my wife and said "who the eff would do this more than once?"

lol.

of course, we had another 2 years later...obviously. :)

Hopefully this isn’t anything official

If by “official” you mean athletic dept driven — CheckerNeyland is and always has been fan-driven.

This was trending to happen before Saturday - don’t know if the fans will try at this point.

I went to work one day and my boss was like, "Are you ok? You need to go home."

I was like, "No! Let me stay here! Don't send me back there! You can't make me!"

We had our second 2.5 years later and our third 14 months after that. Pretty much makes me mentally handicapped, for all intents and purposes. LOL!

The welp is in to reference that he wont be back until at least after Florida if at all.
i don't think one corner back is the position that's holding us back. football wise, yeah, i want him out there.

big picture wise...........his issues need to be resolved. we definitely don't need off field player issues distracting anyone/anything at this point...not to mention the scrutiny that comes with this particular issue.

yeah, we were done at 2. at least we could go man to man defense with 2. any more than that, you gotta play zone defense....sketchy proposition at best lol.

It's not JJ's fault but I think he takes charge from here on out. He will put a boot in the azz of a couple older guys on D to make sure they fire up the D and he will personally take care of the O. You would think the QB would be doing that but I'll take JJ.

The problem with this is that Kirby Smart, Lincoln Riley, Dabo Sweeney, and now Ryan Day have very similar resumes. Actually, Dabo was never even a coordinator. Smart was basically with Saban his whole career. Riley was only an OC at East Carolina before being the OC at OU. Day was the OC at Temple and BC before being a QB coach in the NFL.

Pruitt probably has better college experience than 3 of those guys listed above before they got their current jobs.

The coach hiring landscape has changed, and UT won't be able to hire a veteran coach unless he just falls into their lap (like Rick Barnes). UT will have to hire an up and comer, and the person who hires must make the correct decision.

The only thing that differs with those you mentioned is, with the exception of Kirby, is they were promoted within. Much easier transition. Minimal staff turnover. I agree though that it will be hard to pull an existing, successful power 5 coach unless you paid stupid money which will never happen. Probably could pull a successful fcs coach though.

LSU has Troy State, Bama has ULM, we've got Georgia St. I'm pretty convinced at this point that Saturday was the one-in-a-thousand simulation where GaST wins. You play that game another 999 times and UT wins every one of them. I say that not to gloss over what happened, but to illustrate that flukes just ****ing happen sometimes. I don't think this past weekend's game is an indictment on the program at large. I don't think that's what the team will look like every Saturday. I was pissed and numb to it like everyone else, but in the days since, it feels more and more like a cosmic alignment of bad luck. It'll get ironed out.

If there was a silver lining, its that Pruitt's freshmen mostly played well. Burrell was pretty much the only one that consistently looked like a freshmen, but he learned he was starting the week of. I think with more practice with the 1's he'll improve. This may have hurt our spot with a few of the wait-and-see guys, but it seems like for everyone else, its a big flashing neon sign saying "COME TAKE THIS SPOT IMMEDIATELY."

I'm rambling, but i'm not ready to jump ship or tell Pruitt to pack it up. He's proven to be a brilliant football mind. He's learning to be a HC. If I'm picking between which I'd rather him learn on the job, its the latter. I'm sure as hell not ready to start over again.
Great post. Thanks.
