Mom can't remember she ate immediately after we've eaten. She can't remember anything 2 minutes removed from it. Her short term is completely gone. She can't sit still. If she's out she wants to go home. The minute she walks in the door of her house, she wants to know where they're going. She absolutely wears my dad out. My dad gets relief by taking her to daycare three days a week.

She's starting to forget the people close to her. I have to remind her that I'm her son. Sometimes she thinks I'm her husband. It's a sad deal.

Yeah, that's a head scratcher.

I’m not a Dan Mullen fan at all. I never have been and never will be. To me he’s sort of screwy but I think sometimes you can learn from just about anybody. Mullen did some really exotic things last year in their offseason and he was sort of mocked as a result. It was like he was having toga parties for his football team or something. It’s instinctual to ridicule something out of the ordinary but I think at the root of what Mullen was and has been trying to do is to get his guys to loosen up and have fun. I don’t think that means they’re not putting in hard work; in fact, I think they are. I just firmly believe you will do better at anything you truly enjoy doing and are having fun at. Sometimes I think coaches can become very distant from much of their roster and the whole experience for many of their kids becomes drudgery. Given that Mullen is at the helm of who I now in our immediate circumstances consider “my” most hated rival, I wish he would do a little bit more to indicate some semblance of embracing drudgery. So yeah, I actually hate the guy, if he is in fact a guy, but if I’m being honest and based on my experience, I have to give the “guy” some measure of respect, even if it’s begrudgingly, for perhaps knowing what he is doing. jmo.

So who will be that OLB that is basically a stand up rusher? I know Taylor but is Crouch in the 2 deep there or will he be a ILB in this scheme?

I ask because in a 3-4 that standing rusher is a game changer...and I am drooling over the potential of Crouch/Roman in that role. Taylor can catch a break and we won't lose a step...could be so good

It's completely horrible. I'm thankful every day that my mother's is slow progressing and responding to medication.

But we had gone through this with her mother not that many years ago. Her fixation was lost loved ones. Every few minutes she would repeat stories of losing her siblings and parents while breaking down into tears. Around 2 years of seeing her in complete depression. It took a major toll on the entire family.
Keeping you guys in my thoughts and I'm filled with empathy.

We went through this with my grandma who showed sign of Lewy Body Dementia at 95 and lived until 100. We had to brace for the bad times (where she thought her sister, who'd been dead ten years, was on her way to pick her up and keep her from freaking out because we wouldn't allow her to pack, or where she lost command of the English language and reverted to mumbling German which none of us spoke other than a word here and there. The paranoid moments where she was recalling something from her holocaust days and integrating into her present were gut wrenching).
We would really focus on the good times and try to keep her in those moments. Even if at times she thought I was my dad and my mum was her sister. If she was happy and upbeat, we would fight to be too.
She still had moments of perfect clarity and a very warm smile which helped.

Sorry y'all are having to endure this. I've been there. It is hard because it's taxing and you fear that they are suffering. But, stay strong, remember the good times, grasp onto and relish the good moments, make them as comfortable as you can knowing you'll NEVER feel it's good enough, and as important, take care of yourself. I cannot stress that last part enough.

We were in a 2-4-5 nickel set a lot last year and i think will be the case again. Should look something like this.
