Guys and gals, brothers and sisters, I didn't think it was possible, but...

Never in a million years would I want Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, or Jeremy Pruitt back as a HC; but, I would take any one of them, IN A HEARTBEAT, over this lost-handwaving-bozo. People keep comparing him to Dooley or Butch...they're not even in the same stratosphere as this clown, whenever it comes to clueless cringe and selling cars.

Shane Beamer is the Franken-Child of all three of them.

Good thing a football game consists of 2 halves

Yeah...a lot are overlooking that whole 24 point 1st half. In a game where we were maybe expected 35 total.

It just comes back to consistency. It also took an entire half of comedy of errors to keep us to 3. Much on STs and 1 RB fumbling. The rest wasn't all that bad, just hit or miss and full of silly/unneeded penalties.

Yeah before the season I felt LSU & Florida were going to be "show me" type wins. Now after seeing what Napier/Kelly have done so far I'm more leaning that those are wins.

But I'm not going to be disappointed if we finish 8-4...injuries, bad officiating, off nights on offense, lots of things can derail us in games we should win.

Yup. Imo LSU is looking more formidable than originally expected. As may be UK, now #8.

Still think 8-4 is a really fine season. 9-3 is still fantastic. Would mean going 3-1 vs UF, LSU, UK, and USCjr. After already beating Pitt. That's a great season imo. 10-2 would just be mindblowing, no other way to put it. After all, this ain't no UK/UGA piss poor schedule. We'd be in line for 11 wins with their schedules

One stat worth mentioning is how much better our 3rd down defense has been. We are a combined 10/45 (.222%) on 3rd down defense.

Ball State - 5/14
Pitt - 4/18
Akron - 1/13

Decent upgrade, though we started our first 3 games last season at 27% average. Granted, one of those was even an FCS team. Pitt was 40%, so that's an upgrade, though vs Slovis the starter we were 43% albeit a small sample (3 of 7).

Not an easy comparison, but hopefully that's an upgrade over how we started last year.

Bigger point being, things got a lot worse in SEC play, they weren't that bad vs the lesser teams. But it does feel like we are better. Hopefully that carries over vs the big boys.
