I said that all last season doing the same stuff. Had a couple weeks where just a couple games ruined it for me on. 10+ game parlay
I hit two 16leggers and a 17 leg last year, but I only bet like $.01 😆. I was just trying to figure out how parlays worked at the time. Still, won a few hundred off fanduel. Wish I'd have put even just $.50 or $1 on them.

Do you make bets based on snap judgments/gut instinct or do you try to research the teams a bit?

Mostly instinct on those parlays, but for my "real" bets, I research them. Sofa score app is really good for researching the bets.

Making the big parlays helps with instincts later in the season. It makes you look closer at how a wide variety of teams perform. It gives great insight to picking what may happen in later games.

Boy do I have a doozy for you..same scenario but only bet 1$ played the whole game schedule straight down..literally all of the games that day.

Joshua Josephs:

“I feel it was midway through fall camp. My teammates were like man you can really help us,” Josephs offered. “They were boosting me up. I realized I was giving the offense and the o-line some work. I can actually help the team this year if I stay on track and stay focused and do my thing.”

Saturday, Josephs did what he has done in every game he has played in. Josephs had two quarterback hits/hurries including a near safety and he had a tackle.

In 51 snaps played on the year, he has 4 quarterback hurries, 4 tackles and a PBU. He also has four missed tackles.

“My first couple of games there was a little hesitation on the field. But not now, against Florida, I got out there and I was playing full speed with no hesitation and doing my thing. The game has come to me more naturally over time.”

“My long arm,” Joseph said of what fundamental work he has been focused on. “Everyone knows my wingspan is pretty big. Once I learn how to use my long arm to the full extent then I feel like I will be way more effective. I have been working on that for sure.

“This week that’s one of my main focus along will working on my pass rush moves, not just my long arms but quick speed moves. Anything to help me beat the guy I’m going against.”

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel likes what he has seen from Josephs through four games and believes Josephs along with fellow freshman Tyre West can play bigger roles moving forward this fall.
“I think those guys are going to continue to grow here as we go. We’re deeper and able to play more guys who are able to play harder for longer and play at a higher level. Those two guys’ continued growth here is something I’m really excited about seeing here on the back two-third of the season.”

A thing of pure beauty. Only thing those wins do to me is make me kick myself for not betting more, 😆. Still, I stick to $.50-$1 on big parlays. I put $4 on one last week, but it was bad and I re-learned a lesson.

Glad they are ok.
Born here in Fort Myers & stayed through many Hurricanes but this was like nothing i have ever heard or seen before. It will take time before things can get back up & going economically. Many down here wondering if we still have jobs.
Most of us that stayed are just happy to be alive.
My parents stayed and made it out alright
Fort myers beach is bad

"My long arm" has me thinking:

see that's the problem with your ilk, it's "the spin"....who gives a crap about spin? do we have an actual understanding of what that means? lol. it's literally embellishing a fact, or facts, toward a specific point of view with the intent of either swaying opinion one direction or the other, or deflect attention away from something. so that's problem 1.

the DB's haven't been good before or since his hire. it's not like we've seen some epic downgrade in performance SINCE he's gotten here. and we had two guys here previously in head coach and defensive coordinator that most well informed people in football would tell you were great secondary coaches. and i couldn't tell you that the DB's were appreciably better than they are now.

what i have seen, in WM's previous stint here, is that he got guys like mosely and sutton to the NFL. and i think there were a couple more that wound up in the NFL under his tutelage here, and elsewhere.

right now, i don't think we have an overly talented group of DB's and we're very safety/nickel heavy, and not a lot of experience to go around. but we knew that, have known that and it probably isn't changing before the end of the season.

WM is a fantastic recruiter, and he does develop guys. but typically when he's been here, we've not gotten the cream of the crop talent, he didn't inherit any cream of the crop talent, so my suspicion is that development has taken longer than anyone likes, him included probably.

plus, corner is one of the hardest positions to play on the field, and over past few seasons we've seen a heavy shift to much improved passing games in the SEC, with some of the best QB's and WR's in college football...so while I wont' tell you we're awesome on the back end, i'm also not going to tell you that's BECAUSE of the coach that's been here, a 2nd time, now for only 16 games, and 1 full cycle off season.
What Coach WM has accomplished in his career won't matter to his detractors. His track record shows that he has helped put several lower rated players get into the NFL, and they have done well. To me, that shows the ability to identify and develop talent. To the detractors, it says those players were severely underrated or developed in the NFL. Starting with the recruiting classes of '23 and '24, he'll have the talent available to produce multiple early round picks if developed properly. I think getting 3 DB's drafted in the same year from a very poor UCF defense should be proof enough. Some will say they haven't seen enough if he gets 3 drafted in the first round. I love my Vols through and through, but some in our fanbase can be considered "the legion of the miserable". We do not have top 10 talent from a recruiting perspective, yet here we sit in the top 10. Some should take a moment to appreciate what these coaches and players have accomplished in the moment, because these moments have been few. Imperfect success is still success.

Very weird. Looks like him

If the kid is from Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Palestine etc. (and I'm basing that on the language in the recording because even the words using the roman alphabet are Arabic) it's not too surprising. They are basically Mediterranean peoples like Greece and Italy which conquered those areas at various times before various other conquests by Persians, Arabs, and of course the Crusades which brought a ton of other Europeans into the mix. Tennessee had a Speaker of the House who was of Lebanese descent for eons and I don't mean he was from Lebanon, TN in Jimmy Naifeh. And of course, we had Coach Derek Dooley who might not be the most likeable representative for Vol fans but he also had Lebanese ancestry via his awesome mom Barbara (sorry still love how outspoken she was!).

DB Thomas Davis, Carolina Panthers, 2005

DB Bruce Thornton, Dallas Cowboys, 2004
DB Terreal Bierria, Seattle Seahawks, 2002
DB Jermaine Phillips, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2002
DB Tim Wansley, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2002

But you guys are probably right that he sucks. Just wish all these programs could figure out how terrible he is where they could quit hiring him and all these poor kids that he’s sent to the NFL.

Tn has a really good shot to get Bama, better than the hope you are giving them. Tn only problem is our secondary sucks. But Bama can be had and will be had. Not saying Tn will curb stomp them but they will not curb stomp Tn. We have the offense to play with them. Tn run game will need to do its part. Bamas D is not that great.

He's just throwing a fit. He got caught up in the 1st bets odds that favored him heavily like 70 percent but when he went all in the cards said he had a 53 percent chance. He is just mad that someone who looks like a Kardashian clone beat him but hell that's part of her bluff. The low cut shirt did its job.[/QUOTE]

Definitely caught my attention.
