Literally just said the same. Various super bowl rings, more money than you could ever spend, a hot wife who somehow is worth more than you (I believe) and 3 kids and yet you choose a year playing football as an old man, furthering your CTE and losing your family.

Makes sense.

The battle against double negatives has been lost. It is so pervasive now that I have given up letting it bother me.
Speaking properly is no longer admired. In fact, many consider it being “elitist“ or “snooty”.

Outside of dominate/dominant, the only other one that bothers me is using "disinterested" when the person means "uninterested".

The United States of Leland cleared that up for me 20 years ago and now every time I hear it misused I want to go full Kevin Spacey (but not really...at all 😆)
