I kinda like Turnage and Slaughter at corner. I want to watch it again and watch them closer. But it felt like the best our defense has played all year.

Also thought Flowers played his best game. Wesley Walker also stood out.

This morning at work one of my Dawg fan coworkers in unsurprising week before the game fashion was trying to talk up how tonight’s game was a “look ahead” and “let down” game for Tennessee. That the match up was not great for us because “bad pass defense, 1st round QB, haven’t played a defense like *insert next opponent here*, etc ”

Man was looking for a reason for UT to stumble because he and all of the UGA faithful are SCARED. Even though I told him that my worry about the UK game was a 1/10, he held strong to those beliefs.

I can’t wait to become community menace number 1 down here in doggy land after we go down to Athens and whip that ass next weekend.

We are playing with house money now

We really are. There were no championship expectations going into this year. From now on we will always have high expectations. Heupel brought expectations back.

This is a magical moment. Pretty rare stuff. What an incredible opportunity we have in front of us. But no matter how it all goes from here, this season has changed everything about how we experience Tennessee football. What a gift.

I’m not worried about recruiting. I trust CJH to evaluate talent he needs to run his offense. Also, the importance of getting recruits that fit the culture and have the right work ethic are essential. Ex. Texas A&M. I understand the correlation of stars to championships, but I think CJH is fixing to smash that narrative. This team continues to grow and get better due to coaching and buy-in. It’s truly incredible witnessing this team’s success. It’s being built, and they will come! Go Vols!!

Eventually, the Vols are going to be on the wrong side of one of these final possession games. Saturday vs UK looks to be another one of those. I know that will trigger some that think Vols are unbeatable.

we get it you beat Alabama, blah blah. We are not slow on defense. Trust me.

#2 in Scoring defense and #2 in total defense in the SEC. We also will play Tennessee differently than Bama did defensively. Plus when that game is close late, Neyland will pucker down to the size of a keyhole.
