We are arguing what college coaches have turned down NFL jobs... This is irrelevant.

What really needs to be answered is if his fast tempo offense and limited substitutions would work in the NFL.
Actually they were saying the NFL is interested. The poster said all college coaches are interested so done deal.

you have evidence Jerry offered him the hc job?
Geezus, man. You have no evidence that every college coach wants to be in the NFL. You use the "I've never heard of..." argument, and now you're looking for a higher standard argument from other people. Just let it go.

NFL and college are two very, very different games with very, very different dynamics. Not everyone will see the NFL as the natural progression from college, especially considering the $$$ and crowd sizes involved in college. And especially seeing more and more legendary college coaches that have gone to the NFL and slinked back out with egg on their face and their tails between their legs.

If you want to know if Heup would go pro, ask his wife and kids. Family men consider what their needs are first. Especially after they land elite college program jobs making millions that could lead them to becoming legends
If you bring family into it, I bet they would say NFL. The way recruiting is, college coaches have a 24/7 365 job. That’s the intrigue with NFL.

8-0

After the Pitt, or even the FL game, who'd thought we'd be rolling like this!? Oline doesn't get enough credit... they've been instrumental in making this happen, especially against bama...

Tillman about to go all out this weekend between the hedges... they can't cover Bru, Hyatt, AND Tillman...

IF it happens, and so far you've offered no evidence other than "I'm sure it happens it must happen," it's rare, and we shouldn't assume the exception will happen with heupel. I don't think he gets a slew of HC offers unless he's super successful next year as well, but I think it's far more naive to think someone would turn down the highest level of coaching and turn down a chance to spend infinitely more time at home with family.
Ok be naive. I guess if it didnt become public, it didn’t happen.

And here we go again with everyone wants to be in the NFL.
The NFL would be my only worry with Heupel. Not that it should even be a worry, just more of one than him leaving for a different college job.

I have no clue what his goals are in coaching long term. But I hope it’s to build the best program in the country. I like his ties to DW. Gotta help, even if he does have NFL aspirations.

That's not how it works. You're the one making the claim. It's not our job to disprove your claim or else it must be true. It's your job to prove it. You're claiming all NCAA coaches want to go to the NFL, else we have to provide examples to disprove your assumptions.

Instead, play it straight. Give us all the examples of all the college coaches, and then we'll talk.

"I've never heard of it so it must not have happened" isn't a valid argument else nothing would have happened until you learned about it.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You cry baby whiner. People like you is what’s wrong with the world today.

Your son havinf a medical condition that makes it easier for him to breath from his mouth is completely different than someone being too stupid to breath from the mouth.

Only a mouth breather would not be able to figure that you.
Really? It’s obvious a parent who has a child that has to breathe through their mouth for medical reasons would be sensitive to the new “mouth breathers are dumb” jokes. And, yes, cruel kids would definitely use that on others kids even if it was because of a medical problem.

Unbelievable......no I take that back....par for the course. We have a team and coach that are having a GREAT season ,playing for the #1 ranking in college football and now we may be losing our coach to the NFL. You have got to be kidding. Can we as a fan base just enjoy what we have for a change ?

Not every coach wants to go to the pros and the ones that have usually flop or just can't handle the pressure. CJH is a great offensive mind but the match ups we have in college are MUCH different than the NFL. There are grown men making millions in the NFL for a reason...they are ALL good and if they make a mistake the NFL stands for NOT FOR LONG because they will find someone that can make the plays the next week, plus the TV timeouts and substitute rules make the hurry up we play much less effective. If it would work in the NFL they would ALL be doing it, think about that, they are playing for MONEY not trophies.
