Eh he is serviceable. Wright is better and it won’t surprise me to see Wright and Sampson pass him next year with another season under their belt.
I love Wright but Small is not elite but he runs smart and gets what he can get and does not fumble. Wright is probably the better back but I do not see Wright or Sampson taking his job over. Wright is going to get more carries as long as he can stop from fumbling.

Yeah, it's easy to forget with how well we've been playing, but. . . remember when Hooker kept throwing high balls in the first few games? It was noticeable. People made comments about him throwing like Milton, or that he needs to get dialed in soon, etc.
He really wasn't that bad, he was just a little off on critical drive extending or scoring throws against Balls Tate and armPitt.

The bad throws and the few times he missed seeing open recievers were magnified because of that I think.

Miss on first or second down, and it is no big deal...miss on third or fouth down and it is a huge deal.

One of his championship matches with Flair back in the 80s is my favorite of all time. Say what you want about wrasslin, but those two guys worked themselves literally nearly to death that night to put on magnificent show.
Flair has always said Steamboat was his greatest opponent in the ring. I've watched several of their matches. Never a bad one.

If you enjoy seeing other SEC programs battle dysfunction, check out Auburn message boards. The On3 mods reported that the university president was on the verge of hiring an AD (John Cohen from Mississippi State) but slowed down the process due to important parties (boosters and current coaches) not agreeing with the hire. The president contemplated his decision and, as of now, it looks like the hire will be made. However, the mods said that the boosters will now want more control of the football hiring process. Mods said that the university president has also semi-lost the trust of the boosters.

Auburn is the new UT. So glad we’re done with that horrible decade of dysfunction

Hiring Harsin was a disaster all the way around. They are following our self-immolation to a tee.

Meh...IMO he was just having an off game, I don't think the pressure played that much of a part. Sometimes a guy just ain't on...he missed a couple of relatively easy throws he normally makes when he wasn't under intense pressure.

The drops, TOs, untimely penalties, and just flat out missed throws all played a part.

Also...I think the OL and the WRs as a group has grown exponentially since that game. We would beat Pitt by 35 now.
You mean, Pitt would beat themselves by 35 if they played us now. Common mistake.

What a mess. Yikes

They are averaging like 5ypc on the season aren't they? We've played some tough defenses, that's pretty impressive.
It is good solid production. I know that Small is not an elite RB, but he is good solid one that does the ancillary things really really well also...like helping keeping blitzers out of Hendons face so he can throw wide open TDs.

That is kind of a big deal, imo it is almost just as important as running the ball in this offense.

Tony Romo expects NFL teams to target head coach of SEC team

Let’s all hope Romo is very wrong on this. Romo says he’s heard Heupel is on NFL radar’s.
Quote from the article, “Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel, remember, he was at Central Florida with Scott Frost when they went undefeated,” Romo said. “Goes over here to Tennessee, brings them back to prominence. He’ll be on the radar for every NFL team after this year.”

Romo proven he doesn't know anything as Heupel was not at Central Florida when Scott Frost was there.
