Prayer request for my old girl Charlotte, she's the distinguished old lady on the left. She somehow scraped the cornea of her left eye pretty good and despite our treatment the eye abscessed and has to go. After consulting with the vet we do not feel the risk of putting her under due to her age and the risk of more injury is the right thing. We are treating with antibiotics and letting the eye dissipate naturally.

We made a promise to the prior owners and her that we would look after this old girl and give her the best life possible. I take the responsibility of every animal we take in seriously. She's been in good spirits and is eating and drinking well. If you pray please think of her and include her.....

Sending prayers for a healing. My pets are like my kids. Just had a schnoodle that we rescued and shes about 13 now and took her to the vet this morning because she has been putting weight on for no reason and she has thyroid problems. She was mistreated by her original owners and when we moved into my parents house after moving back from GA ,this little dog stayed on my porch and finally I told my wife to bring her in the house and the next day we took her to the groomers and then to the vet and never let her go back to her owners and I had already told him if I let this dog in my house then she does belong to you any longer and he told me she was his dog, I said this dog belongs to the neighborhood and shes not being taken care. So when I brought her in and told him where she was at and showed him the vet bill and asked if he wanted to pay it and he said no and I told him shes mine now. If we had never brought this little dog in, she would be dead already. Its been 7 years now.

Buck has sold his soul to the devil by the very nature of his job. He can't send every NPA kid to Tennessee. He's trying to walk a tightrope, and sometimes HOW he says something comes across as offensive to his alma mater.
Meh. He gets paid by schools. His allegiance is to those schools.

Jeez...just because I am not a relentless photon pumper doesn’t make me any less of a fan than any of you guys. I see what I see, but when they prove me wrong for being pessimistic then that is exactly what I want to happen. The feeling I get when they vastly exceed my expectations is freaking awesome, conversely I hate thinking we are definitely going to win and then getting completely gutted.

The things I say aren't crazy off the wall crap, people just don't want to hear it.
what is a photon pumper?

Where who wants to be? I think the coaches like who they have. At least it appears that way.

I agree that they are happy. They have a bunch of good players, some of whom they beat traditionally top recruiting schools for. But, they almost lost a number to those schools and that wasn’t by design. In other words, they are happy but could be happier

We gave away 1600 pieces of candy last night. The streets are packed here. Some folks travel from other neighborhoods to come to ours. We have multiple houses that do jello shots, fireball shots, beers and other mixed drinks for the parents. It's a good time for the kids but it's exhausting. My wife got food poisoning Sunday night through early this am so I was a single dad with both kids trick or treating. I'm spent.

Not sure where you live, but there are equine vets who prefer to do the enucleation surgery under sedation and standing. That would be a great option for her, so she doesn’t have to be in so much pain.
