I'm not agreeing with the firing, but let's not continue to ignore that this is her "wokeness" that backfired on her. She was giving a satire account hell over a fake, joke blackface tweet and someone decided, with her holier-than-thou attack going on, to look at her tweet history.

But that's the thing about cancel culture. Woke folks can generally be counted on to get into a woke-off, and even woke folks find themselves in the crosshairs.
Not in this case IMO.

It’s awesome. My kids love it, too. Perhaps a new entrance song right before the player emerge from the tunnel.
I don't think the band is changing pre-game. Fight Vols, Fight is played as they form the T, and then the T is opened to Down the Field, UT's official fight song.

I've heard people say this is the biggest game since 2007. Ok, maybe. That was for the SEC championship...but beyond that not much.

Win this game and in yer in the got dang PLAYOFFS 100%.

Conference titles are ok I guess...but ask Georgia if they'd trade 5 of em for their natty last year. Hell no.

We have a chance of playing for the whole daggum thing if we win Saturday...and maybe even if we don't...
@pitt was the tone setting game for the season, must win.

Florida was the program defining/changing game we had to win to truly turn the corner.

@lsu was the game that validated everything and proves you could go on the road and beat a team you've shown not to be capable of beating

Bama was the biggest game of the last 20 years and beating Bama would then announce to all of college football your actually good.

Now the UGA game is the real biggest game of the last 20 years and winning this game would really prove you're deserving of that 1 next toy your name.

My advice... Make your own standard. Clearly everyone else's standards are flexible.

Coach Rodney Garner on Vol Calls –

“This program, I don’t keep any secret about it. This program is very special to me. When I came to UT, when coach Fulmer gave me the opportunity to come here in ’96, Kim and I got married when we got here. Bri was born here. We had some really good times here. Even though we were here for a short period of time it was a place that was very dear to us. Bri was born at Fort Sanders. She had a congenital heart defect. They flew her via life support over to Vandy. We were there for two weeks. It was just the Tennessee family, how they supported us and embraced us. It just made this place so special. Even though I didn’t play here this place is very dear to me and that’s one thing I try to share with my guys every day, that this place is special and we’re blessed to be here. I came back, when coach Heup talked to me, he was talking about the possibility of hiring me, I told him I just wanted to be a part, play whatever small role I could in just trying to get UT back to the elite status where it belongs.”
My twins were born at Ft Sanders and spent two weeks in East Tenn Childrens NICU, can confirm, it binds you to the area

He doesn't have a leg to stand on now. That video is the OG playing of Rocky Top and there was not a woo to be heard. Debate over in my expert opinion.
In fact, there was no singing to be heard…no one knew the words, yet! 🧡

I vowed early in the year not to post until we slayed the three headed dragon. We've cut two of the heads off already, with the third coming Saturday. I guess being #1 in the country going into that game is a good enough reason to post. 😉

Beating LSU in Death Valley was a nice bonus too.

Dang I hope he is wrong...he pretty much nailed my fears for this game 😞 now that he spoken them out loud and very coherently...I am kind of depressed.

I want my thoughts to be wrong...badly wrong.
This year is different, McGill. This ain’t a Pruitt and Guarantano led Tennessee. This also ain’t last years Tennessee team. We not only have the best offense in America but we have a good defense that is improving every week. We can win this game.

This is why we are different. Not everybody can be a volunteer and it takes humility to be a Vol. Thanks for sharing, Rodney. What an amazing story. GBO!

We’re going to win. Heupel knows he sets the tone for the team and he seems fairly confident in this game (not saying he wasn’t in others) but it’s more obvious with this game.

I never knew Barry Sanders' NFL career was in an offense similar to this. You take a generational talent running back and put them in an offensive scheme where the box isn't stacked to respect the receivers and that's danger. What we'd do with a generational running back might be illegal after we do it.

Aside: Stuff like that makes what Derrick Henry is doing that much more impressive. Because the Titans have no passing game. And they have an average offensive line. Even the last couple years they ran an offense that didn't spread out the defense and his YAC was/is insane.

According to this thread (which was the best I could find in a quick search) the loudest Sanford Stadium has ever gotten is around 112. So Neyland has broken their all time decibel record multiple times this season.

Loudest Sanford has ever been
Multiple times just at the Kentucky game.
