Stings to see Tyrese Hunter going for 26 pts for Texas against the zags. That was the point guard who ended up transferring Texas instead of here because we supposedly didn't need him. I absolutely knew that decision would come back to bite us. I'd take him over our little PG alllllll day.
He chose Texas over us… we 110% would’ve taken his commitment. We literally have an extra scholarship that we didn’t use this year because we went all in on him

Teams with commits in the All-American Bowl/UA Games so far. (Out of order alphabetically. I was going thru it fast. Also, not all teams are on here)

Alabama - 13
ND - 13
Florida - 11
UGA - 11
OSU - 9
Miami - 9
Clemson - 7
Oregon - 7
LSU - 6
Vols - 6 (Nico isn't on the rosters but he might as well be one)
FSU - 4
Is Hobbs in an All-American game? Nvm: he’s in the army all american game. So that would make it 8 if you include Ramil.

Ready for this clown to be out of sight out of mind.
Real serious question. This question does not have to do with his coaching ability but his staying ability. His longest stay has been what 3 years somewhere? Whose to say after a couple of years he gets another offer at some West Coast school or some big North schools just for an example. When does the trust value come in with a track record that he has. Can't imagine trying to land a huge position job with my record of three years at any place I worked. Just amazed I guess that schools finally don't just say hey we need someone we can trust to stay for a long time. Just throwing this out for discussing.

:p I've never gotten in on ribbing you so had to take my chance. Hell, I'm 40 so definitely no spring chicken but most people think I'm early 30's. You definitely seem like somebody my wife and I would meet to toss back a couple of shots and have a fun night out with. Those other geezers you mentioned would be taking their nightly mixture of a Miralax/Ensure shake and hitting bed by 8:30 while we are just getting started.

I don't track everything regarding Milton, I did witness the run out of bounds as the clock expired episode and to say that he looked solid at Michigan is being beyond generous and equivalent to saying JG looked solid his senior year here and his 3 games at Wassu. I watched one game Milton quarterbacked at Michigan and he was just dreadful, and they replaced him a game or two later. All you envision may come to pass, but it will be a Christmas miracle if he simply suddenly starts reading when to hand off, and when to run much less makes critical passing reads. He is a less experienced version of Richardson - don't be shocked if we step back if he is at the helm. I think if he were our qb this year we would have had at least 3 more losses. He is a gifted, remarkable athlete, he has yet to show he can be an above average qb.

Maybe Bo Nix needed a fresh start. Hooker wasn’t the guy at VT but moved to the SEC and is great. Why can’t he just be in a good situation and making the most of it?

Now that Oregon is not a threat to our playoff hopes, then this narrative is okay now.
Let him destroy usc or ucla in the pac-12 championship game to totally eliminate the left coast from getting in our way. 😁

You’re applying logic to an illogical industry. It’s not like real life for the average worker. It’s more like real life for big name CEOs with golden parachutes. We pay big failure money to coaches who can’t get the job done. Schools are willing to take a risk just to win some games and most think they can keep a coach if he turns out to be the right guy. The smart ones can make it painful for a coach to leave which helps the school leadership sleep at night.

I paid for my entire family to fly to Montana and rent a car via credit card rewards. Took all year to accumulate that but worth it.

With everything so expensive here lately, I’ve been using that cash back just to make ends meet, but when we were in a slightly better place, I used to cash out every time it hit $100 available and throw that money in the IRA or brokerage account mutual fund.

Is the best era is Kensuckys history (which has been pretty mediocre despite how high on the horse a lot of their fans got) about to be over?

A lot of chatter in the below linked thread about a potential mass exodus of players and Stoops/Sexton back channeling for jobs elsewhere...

Where theres smoke...
Looked into another thread there and they've reversed course in a big way. Early this season they were scared to death that the projected success meant that some other program would hire him away. Now they're afraid the season collapse has dropped his stock so far that no one else will want him and now they're stuck with him.

Teams and AD's want who they want. Look at Derek Dooley, he got a head coaching gig, twice. Ron Zook, Will Muschamp, Butch Jones, Jeremy Pruitt...these guys were all head coaches.
