I am super jealous...I always wanted to visit the historic sites of the Mediterranean. That is never gonna happen for me now unless I win the lottery...lol.

I am always glad when people are interested and can explore the world.

Travel was a value in my family growing up. I was lucky that way. Got to Sounian and the Greek Islands and also Britain and Scotland in my early teens. In the Navy I travelled to Kenya, Jerusalem and the pyramids at Giza and Saqqara. Just to name some highlights.

Then on my own about 15 years ago I pushed into Siberia to the Altai mountains on the Russian, Mongolian, Chinese, Khazakhstani border on a trek to Mt. Belukha. It was the trip of a life time but the infection I picked in my leg on that trek nearly killed me. 45 days in the hospital and a couple of skin grafts later then fast forward to 2022 and I'm thinking about travelling internationally again.

The only thing my dad would go into debt for was family travel. Travel has dramatically effected my world view and for the better. I say borrow a little money if need be and get out. Still I have been finding of late plenty of interest in the United States especially at pre-Columbian sites. So maybe, on 2nd thought, overseas travel is really not the only way for the mind expansion travel affords. In any event I am grateful to have gotten out in the wide world some. Thanks for the comment. Oddly, Charleston, SC, is on my bucket list then hopefully onward into Nevas in the Caribbean.

I hate Georgia. I hate Ohio State. But, this TCU team is so fraudulent that it would be really hard to NOT cheer for the Dawgs or Buckeyes in that game to beat them by 60.

Agree completely with this part. I didn’t travel internationally growing up but traveling while I was in the Navy opened my eyes a bunch.

TCU needs to be exposed. I don’t want to hear some BS narrative that they “belong” in this playoff and Tennessee didn’t. So, no thanks. The Horned Frogs suck and the country needs to see it. Hopefully that happens today so I don’t have to cheer for the Dawgs or Bucks.
