Don't give me hope. I will say this. It is fun to put my Orange Bowl tickets on hold because there is a chance! These last two years have given me hope for Tennessee football for the first time since beating Florida, Georgia and Northwestern in 2016.

Portal "officially" opens on Monday. Grad transfers can already be in and moving, but most players have to wait until Monday to actually be in the portal.

Maybe we will fire Berthalter and get Ted Lasso in. Even he’d do better than Berthalter.

As good as we played in some of our wins across the DL, we have to be much more dynamic there to see improvement in our record and post season destination. In the 2 losses, we didn't have any effect on the QB. The DB's played their part in our deficiencies in those losses but it still comes down to OL and DL play. OL played well enough, DL did not in those losses.

I think what played a roll in this is just how glaringly bad or secondary has been at times.

USCe and UGA both got the ball out pretty quick, negating a standard pass rush. They both got enough out of the qb run game to keep us on our toes, and they both ram the ball in general as a result.

So to me, from a defensive standpoint, it starts with taking advantage of the secondary, and working your way up to affecting the front 7.

Also add in that in both games our offense didn't get it done, which is our defense's best friend, that contributed as well. It's one thing to keep going on the field after scores. It's another going back out after punts, turnovers on downs or turnovers.

Why don't we just buy good soccer players from other countries? Pay them and give them citizenship.
