Yeah, I was just being funny. I heard on Basilio's post game show them discussing that first quarter line (it was -10 on Bovada), and they were saying it was an intentional sucker bet by the casino to get people overconfident. I would have naturally been a little skittish about trying to pick other bets, and that just reinforced it. But if any of you morans think you've got any damn-near can't miss lines, throw 'em out there!
Several of us post picks throughout the season in the SPORTS BETTING THREAD in the pub. We've had a pretty good win % overall. I was @ 73% last year. Most of that was due to UT's 75% hit on 1st qtr bets.

What about the multiple overthrows Hooker had? Are they a problem, or nah?
I mean when Milton gets even close to what hooker has accomplished then we can have that convo.Theres a reason why Hook is starting and Joe is riding the pine same reasons he got beat out multiple times at Michigan transfered here and got beat out again. His only hope is he backdoors himself into this job next year cause he ain't won a starting job yet being as good as some think he is..

Like I said we can do this all day there's arguments for and against him and I don't think will ever get to any common ground.Best case scenario we revisit this argument in a year or two.Look I hope I'm wrong and dudes the next coming but I don't believe I am..

Hmm sounds very familiar to ole miss last year less smoke and a foot lower..That's my issue with Milton he's still making the same mistakes 5 years later..I'm not gonna torch the dude for one play cause he showed some command and he looked more comfortable but I still believe he's gonna get cooked against Sec defenses but that's jmo and I hope he proves me wrong...
Nico is starting next year. Can’t sit his talent.

Anyone know the payout of the 16 game parlay from last night (if there was one).

I picked all the games correctly, butttttt decided against betting, sad day.

@Enki_Amenra ?
A lot! . . a 16 leg parlay, unless they're all -1000 bets, will pay well. Example, I have an 8 leg parlay that pays $13,200 per every $100 bet. Each of those picks were all around -110.

Hitting a 16legger is really rare. . . I'd suggest just betting like $.50 or $1 on them. Most likely gonna lose, but if it hits, that $1 could win $500+

I'm not on the Nico is starting next year just yet but I also don't see anyone that can lead this offense on this team either. For folks to say some magic light is gonna come on and Milton is gonna make us a title contender is Ludacris.I mean if anything all facts point to him not being that guy.Look I want nothing more than Milton to succeed it does nothing but help our team, but yet I'm not naive enuff to declare it based off 1 quarter of game against Balls State..

Yeah I'm ready to watch their game and see everything but the highlights. Looks like it was a huge night for Pitt though. Mega rivalry (that they should play more of), big atmosphere, broke the attendance record, last years team there to unveil their conference champ banner, other former players and celebs there, talking crap to WVU after the game, big parties after.

I hope they party and brag about it all weekend.
Comes on ESPNU at 2pm EST today.

I do agree, but when you have a larger sample and they aren’t getting it done, you have to move on and try someone else. Burrell struggled the later part of the season and the Purdue game. I think Pitt will tell us a lot.
Did it seem like Burrell got tested/picked on the most? Did to me. But that’s a more natural throw for a righty so maybe anybody at LCB is gonna get picked on.

We get SEC refs next weekend, right? Last year at Neyland we had ACC refs and had over 100+ yards of penalties. ACC refs LOVED to throw some flags on us last year. I remember doing an analysis at the end of the year and over a third of our penalty yards on the ENTIRE YEAR came from ACC refs.. and they only reffed what, 2 games?

SEC refs love to throw flags on us also.

I don't have any particular emotional attachment to Milton. I'm just calling out the bias. He played well. He made one questionable but *catchable* throw. Unfixable. Hooker makes several *uncatchable* bad throws. Rusty. Let's just be consistent. Hooker looked worse than I expected. Milton looked better. Is that because Hooker overperformed last year and is reverting to the mean? Hope not. Does it mean that Heupel actually knows how to coach a QB and Milton will turn the corner this year? Hope so. I just wish people would look at the 8 great throws and see the possibility, rather than focusing on the one iffy, but not bad, throw and insist that he can't be fixed.

They do. But we averaged 60 yards per game in penalties last year and both times the ACC refs were on the whistle we had over 125 yards in penalties.

Pitt - 133 yards in penalties
Purdue - 128 yards in penalties

So against ACC refs we had over double the amount of penalty yards we averaged on the year. I’m not gonna go do the math but I would figure without those two games we averaged closer to 40 yards a game in penalties.
