Dooley is an example of a really good coach who should never be a head coach. He tried to micro manage EVERYTHING.

Pruitt is the exact same way but had very little control of the program (worse than Kiffin).

Jones is a con man posing as a football coach who took a few community college classes and attended a few Tony Robbins events.

Dooley 100%. It’s easy to hate him for sure (weird dude, signed 0 offensive linemen in 1 class, and horrific defense) and it’s easy to hate Sal. But that secondary was really, really bad. So bad that we were all hoping a point guard could be our savior at CB.

So take what he did offensively and give him Alabama’s defensive talent, yeah that team could’ve won a title. Especially if you add in an Alabama RB
I remember an interview with Daniel Hood saying Dooley was the best X's and O's guy that he played under, which included Kiffin, Dooley, and Butch if I am not mistaken

I expect Beasley to be a lot better this year. He was a high school safety and running back who started his career here as a safety. He had zero starting experience and limited time on special teams when he missed all team activities for months because of an exaggerated (and mostly fabricated) lie told on him. You would have to think that not only being behind from a football standpoint, there were a lot of things mentally and emotionally that he was still coping with last season as a result. We get to enjoy games, sometimes neglecting the fact that these are still young adults (kids) that we scrutinize and criticize. Like I said....I expect Beasley to be A LOT better this season and Mitchell to be a huge contributor. I expect Banks to be one of the best in the league this season. Page doesn't have to be spectacular. He just has to be consistent, sound fundamentally, and not hurt the team as a reliable back up.
Hope you're right.
