Maybe. But some players feed off that opposing crowd energy. I think this will be the type of game where you “throw out W-L records.” Strap up & play. And so far the mentality of this coaching staff & its teams have shown they can rise to this type of occasion. My biggest takeaway from Pitt game was the grit we showed.

That could be really big considering the noise level they will have for the first time under the new staff. Dang I think the noise will effect their coaches as well.

The crowd noise will make AR even less effective of a passer IMO. They will be forced to try and run on us all game.

Yeah i still don’t get Akron’s reason for the chippiness all game. Do we think Moorhead put them up to it because previously, that doesn’t seem to be their MO. I really got tired of Iron’s yapping and not really getting penalised.

One of the reasons Joe Moorhead was fired at Mississippi State was for not having any control of his team from a behavioral standpoint. Fights in games. Fights at practice. Bad behavior outside of football.

Every coach in the country gets idiotic questions after every game, but very few react the way he does. He’s just being an insecure, in over his head jerk IMO

You must not watch many press conferences that are held directly after a football game…. Tennessee doesn’t have media availability for this reason…. Could you imagine how pissed off disappointed you would be after a loss…. Then have to sit there and listen to some dumbazz ask such idiotic questions…. I would be ready to hit him with a baseball bat.

Amidst all of the flashy head coaching hires this past off season the Washington Huskies appear to have made a solid choice themselves. Kalen Deboer sits at 3-0 with a top 25 win over Michigan State today. He may have the Huskies competing with USC in short order. If I'm Nebraska he along with Leipold at Kansas are both on my short list of candidates.

It would have to be a lot of money to get me to go from Washington to Nebraska.

Rewatching the game, catching the Small injury again. Right after he got hurt, he went to the tent and came right back out and started to get the shoulder moving with the bike. The field crew said he was expected to return during the game. Probably just kept him out for precautionary reasons.

I saw Tillman was pretty shaken up on the Sampson touchdown too. It's a miracle Hooker wasn't injured on multiple plays. Really didn't care for the dive at his knees during that option TD. Could've ended his career on that play, and not even a flag was thrown.
