Good win yesterday, they shored up some mistakes from Pitt game.

BUT…….., I DO NOT wanna see anyone saying we are gonna beat the Gators til we BEAT the gators.

Don’t care about see “forecast” or winning percentages.

Just come out and beat the damn Gators. Period.

And show them NO MERCY!!!

I think the only way the Vols really lose is if they’re too tight — too many mistakes building on each other and ending up in a hole and they could easily be sunk. I just think Tennessee is straight better than Florida this year, and I don’t know that I’ve felt that way basically ever watching this series.

And they will likely find someone who meets that criteria with a higher profile than Dobbs. I think it would be a good pick though.
The quarterback who led the team the last time we beat Florida? Guess the Lonesome Dove owner or David Keith are available.

I played a clean game yesterday..no game posts on here. WooHoo! Darth Clean Living prevailed.

"Chippy" puts a nice spin on it, as does "hitting low." The Zips were diving for knees, piling on, stopping our players from hopping up and punching at the ball, jabbing players while doing it and stopping them from getting the ball to the ref to line up quickly. They were looking to slow us down and stay in the game any way they could. The refs generally ignored it. It got old fast, and it was a long game. That last score and CJH's post-game blow-by was a response to how they played.

Hooker took some low hits. I'm sure they would have loved to knock him out early-- but jokes on them. Milton and TJ scored at will, and our backups to backups ran right by them.
There was a lot of ankle/knee twisting going on as well. I especially didn't care for the lifting of legs off the ground when forward progress was obviously stopped.

Every bit of it was intentional and you'd have to prove to me they weren't coached that way for this game. I never looked but I wonder if they played Michigan St similarly.

Wait, the school picks. I thought ESPN did.

They discuss it. Schools are approached ahead of time and know they're being considered. Certain games are high-interest and if the teams are ranked, the matchup becomes high-profile. And certain venues bring the intangibles, as well as the ratings. There's a lot to set up and coordinate, so the host school makes recommendations.
