Just watched the Akron game.

1. Irons is a mouthy bitch, and had 2 picks that got taken away
2. Officials seemed to be calling some BS on us, but let Akron play a bit dirty
3. Joe Milton has an amazing arm, really hope he can be the dude next year and have a great season
4. Those young guys in the defensive front 7 (West, Josephs, Pearce, Herring, & Perry) are gonna be special.
5. HYATT!!! I thought he was due to have a huge game and he delivered.

Any updates on injuries?

One thing we have going for us this year that we haven't in years past is a QB2. If I'm floriduh watching that game film I don't want Milton getting into the game. some of the prettiest passes I've ever seen
It was so funny when I got home about the time he came in. (Granddaughter was cheering at a football game. It was pure torture trying to keep up on gamecast then listen to Vol Network on the way home!!!) I come running in, and husband actually had another game on! I grabbed the remote and got the right one on. He said something about Tennessee being up by so much. About that time Milton threw that first TD. He then started talking about how good our QB is. I said, “That’s the backup QB! That’s why you don’t turn it off a Tennessee game!” He settled in to watch the rest of the fireworks.

I believe we finally have the coaching staff that will have the team feeling that way. We’ve seen under this staff that they’ll always compete & they don’t appear to lack in confidence.
CJH said on the UT coach's show, when asked how to prep for UF, something to the effect of:

"We don't have to do anything special to beat them. Just do what we do at a high level."

That's the ticket. Take the mystique off. Take away the idea of it being special and cursed. Just do what we do, well. I love it.

People at UT think it was game strategy. Clearly, CJH had issues with it and Moorhead post-game. I'd be surprised if it isn't noted in UTAD's communication to the SEC. Focusing on Calloway's ejection without red-flagging the precipitating incidents addresses only part of the narrative. The SEC will want Calloway punished, which UT will handle as a matter of policy, but an intent to injure players is a bigger-picture risk.
What'd Moorehead say?

When is that last time Tennessee was favored by that much over Florida?

I think we were favored in 2016 at home, but I don't recall it being by that much...
2016 started at -8 and ended at -5

This year is started at -7 and is now -10?!?

Love it. Please, dear football jesus, just don't let it start out the same way as 2016. But please end the same way 🙏
