well it’s part of his game that he needs to work on. I’m not hating, shoot I’m a pumper, just stating that he got Ced knocked out of a game last year for leading him into a collision.

You can work on it all you want, but it is something that is going to happen. It has happened to every QB that has ever played a lot of football.

I think they're gonna come out and try to play the game as slow as possible, try to feel us out.

If there were any game for Hooker to come out sharp... man I hope we punch them right in the mouth immediately. If we can get up 14 early, I think they'll start panicking.

"No, we can't start the season like this" and then they'll get desperate, start trying to make plays, which will lead to mistakes on offense and confusion on defense.

No

I just want to be excited about my team. I feel good about it. I understand all the BVS posts and all but man it’s exhausting. If we lose then we lose but I feel confident bc we have the better team.

Ok...but dig into how much better we were expected to be...

We've only been the favorite 6 times in the last 25 matchups. We are 2-4 in those games. Of those 6, we were a mere 1 point favorite twice (meaninglessly the favorite), and a 3 point favorite twice.

The biggest spreads were 2002 and 2016 at -5 and -5.5 respectively, and we are 1-1 in those games.

We are now up to -11.

Point being - margins of being the favorite matter. We've RARELY (twice in 25 years) been the conclusive favorite. And now we're favored by twice as much.
