Unnecessary Roughness talking season win totals

Kayce: I think Tennessee, at 8 wins, is gonna hit the over.

Brandon: here's the thing about the SEC East - Georgia is gonna win it, Vanderbilt is gonna lose it, the middle is like a washing machine they're all spinning around. But, somebody is gonna win 9 or 10 games.

Kayce: and I think it's Tennessee. I really like Hooker.

Brandon: I love Hooker.

[Hooker jokes]

Kayce: like you said, I think Georgia is going to win it but I think there's gonna be someone else in the East that wins 10 games. I can't come up with an argument for anyone else to be that besides Tennessee. Florida is in disarray.

Brandon: I think Kentucky and South Carolina could have an argument.

Jack: You best be ready. Tennessee is looking at being 5-0 going into the Bama game at home.

[they all seem to like this idea]

Jack: that place is gonna be...

Brandon: lit

Kayce: I do think that Tennessee has the most ready team to be that 2nd team in the East. They might not beat Georgia THIS year but they can mess around and win more than 8 games.

Brandon: the deal is, when they get in a game with a good team, can they stop them? But, you know, Pitt beat them in a very close game last year, I think that they can return that favor. They got Florida at home, I think they can win that. At LSU, we'll see.

Kayce: there are two games on that schedule I think are 2 losses. When I look at the schedule, I think 10-2 is Tennessee.
10-2 can happen. It also could've happened a few times over the last several years. Somehow we have to get over the hump.

Part of me thinks it's just gonna take the law of averages turning our way. Ole Miss was 10-2 last year and was inches, inches, from 8-4. They could have lost to Arkansas and Tennessee both. But Arkansas's two-point try didn't pan out and the ball from Milton to Tillman was just slightly -- ever so slightly -- high. That was the difference. We need the bounces to go our way to get to 10-2.

I'm pretty sure those dreaded cement termites are actually @Weezer in his d'ivers pack form so he can chew through my concrete wood faster and spy on me.

Sorry, that was a very multi-layered and obscure bad joke that incorporated Weezer being a creep, going along with your made up bugs and a book reference that nobody will get unless they have read the Malazan: Book of the Fallen series. Keep chewing little Weezers, keep chewing.
We'll allow it if it's at @Weezer's expense.

Man, Dylan Sampson sounds like a star in the making. Finds the creases and hits the long runs. Impressing teammates and staff.

Between him, Squirrel, and Josephs, our staff seems to be evaluating the hidden gems really well (I mean, they aren't Tillman level hidden, but most expected JWT ahead of Sampson ..Pearce ahead of Josephs...other WRs ahead of Squirrel...). And those other guys are expected to be really good, so this all is just icing on the cake.

100%

Some don't want to admit it, but the silliest of things can change a whole season (perception-wise at least). That's variance in a nutshell.

In our case we literally had 3 ref calls that wrecked our 10-win season. That said, we arguably got one our way vs UK (facemask on Levis...again...arguably). But rather than going 1-3 in nonsense games, maybe we can go 3-1 for once and flip the script. It's literally all we need. Just a LITTLE luck.

@SoilVol can you help me out? I'm trying to identify what type of bugs these are. I live in Northeast Florida and saw a patch of them about the size of a lemon on my hardie board. They were crawling around and had a bluish tint until I got close up on them. Just want to make sure it's not something I should be worried about.View attachment 481001

Troll eggs. Quick, poison them before you are invested and they consume your VFL spirit!

😳

Word is Francis is looking around

I expect a crazy December in recruiting. If kids aren't from a state that allows high school kids to actually sign deals then I think what they've been promised now means little. Someone has plenty of time to come in and offer more. If we kill it this fall you never know what could happen.

Wish SEC would start their own streaming service so I could drop ESPN.

And miss Sportcenter? You're no sportsfriend of mine 😂

But fr...SEC is ESPN these days. Plus, giving up the national championship game and playoffs, most bowl games, MNF, most of regular season football, college basketball, women's basketball, college baseball...The Masters...etc. Hard to even imagine only having abc, nbc, cbs and being stuck with afternoon tennis matches

But really, what service is better? CBS always looked like crap. NBC...Notre Dame channel, meh. ABC games do look fine, but so limited overall. ESPN has it all and is the GOAT for sports fans.
