I think Casey would do better in JH system then Hendo would running the 2001 offense…. Clauses had to pass the ball into tighter windows… Hendo has to pick out which receiver has man coverage and sometimes no coverage(happened at least 3 times last night)…… that is why none of JH QBs ever throw many ints.
interesting take. Going to have to disagree

I dont think its too early at all. Plenty of evidence he is the better qb. Now if the argument was better teams thats a different story and an argument could be made

For me 10 games isn't enough to put someone on an all-time career list, I know people have their own opinions. I need 20 games or more personally when I look at career and start ranking folks.

Another thing, I know we dont like Bob because he isnt good at his job, but I miss Tim Priest. Pat never really gets excited and honestly he doesnt like how the game is played complaining about shotgun only all the time. At least Priest would give some good homer calls, the Tabor one and the one about Amerson were two of his best. Im sure he doesnt fit the image TN wants with their broadcast crew, but I wish theyd bring in Ron Slay for the color spot in football. We need a homer in the booth.
I listened to the game with a fellow from the state of Washington who had never ever paid attention to a Vol game. He complimented the radio crew.

Won the SEC East twice and all 4 years he played QB we finished with 8 or more wins. Was 14-1 on the road and 34-10 for his career here. Hendo needs to finish this year out strong, a bit too early to put him ahead of guys who played 3 or 4 year careers while here.

Only went to the SEC championship once with Casey...2001.

GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!!

I ventured into the FF game thread. Oh. My.

They are so miserable over there. Will not make that mistake ever again.

I don’t get it, man. The universe threw every Florida game fiasco scenario in the book at us, and we still got the W.

respect the opinion. Just stating using the wins during the Clausen era when those teams were known for great defense was a weird take for me personally. But like i stated before, loved the casey era, just loving hooker more. He is unstoppable!

I think they do a decent job of calling games, there just too professional though they sound flat and never get hype when Tennessee does something good. A 20 yard sack, or 40 yard bomb sounds the same as a 2 yard run.

Yeah you need a hype man. Even if it isn’t a homer, someone who accurately relays how exciting college football is

It seemed to me that the crowd noise pretty much told the emotional story on the radio broadcast. It was impressive.

In response to "more talent but did less" winning 77% of your starts isn't doing less than Hooker who is 10-5 so far.

The ONLY reason I'd still have Dobbs/Casey ahead of Hendo is because I wanna see how this season plays out.

If Hendo keeps doing what he's doing and ends up in the Heisman ceremony then I think he can cement himself firmly in the top 3. He's already surpassed Shuler in every major category, he could surpass Dobbs in career TDs by the end of this season too would need about 3k more passing yards to pass him there though.

But if Hendo's 2 seasons end up putting him in the top 5 in most career numbers stats...then yeah I think he's on the Rocky Top Rushmore for QBs here.
In my humble opinion, and I could care less what the numbers say...all other of our great QBs are battling for #3 on the list behind Manning and Shuler. That's how great Shuler was, it takes Peyton Manning to surpass him. Shuler, in Heupel's offense...Manning shares the GOAT love.
