Things that made me happy about this game.

1. We dominated UTjr
2. I'm so happy Dicky V is doing better
3. Zakai and ORN stepped up when Key and Santi had an off night
4. The fans were unreal and it played through the TV
5. Go Michigan State!
I apologize. Where are my manners on here. BAMA AND FLORIDA LOST! That makes this evening perfect. Carry on.

I am also very happy for Rick Barnes. Whenever you are fired from a place, it is a challenge. A challenge he accepted at the University of Tennessee. I am thankful for the first SEC tournament championship I have ever seen (and saw in person). I am thankful he has made us relevant in basketball. I am looking forward to March this year.

Tennessee hosted a slew of recruits for their final Junior Day of January. One of the headliners of the event was highly coveted Lake Cormorant (Miss.) defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin. The standout prospect discussed the visit with Volquest.
“It was good,” Franklin said of the Saturday spent with the Vols. “The atmosphere was great. We got here a little late, so we didn’t get to see that much but, we did spend time with the coaches. I talked with Coach Heupel, Coach Garner and Coach Mack. We are going to be back here in the morning to chill and show the family around. I enjoyed everything—the atmosphere and environment.”
Coming into the visit, Franklin wanted to see how much of a priority Tennessee made him during the visit, and he got the answer he was looking for.
“They just showed how much of a priority I am,” Franklin said of what stood out. “They rolled out the red carpet and I definitely felt the love here. Really just showing how big of a priority I am and how at the top of the list I am for them. I was shown I was a priority for the. Coach Heupel was prioritizing me, and I liked that.”
Rodney Garner stopped in to see Franklin play basketball recently, so he enjoyed the opportunity to take in a basketball game with the Tennessee defensive line coach.
“It was good,” Franklin said of spending time with Garner at the basketball game. “They keep on prioritizing me, and it is not going unnoticed. We have a good relationship. He is a great guy, and I feel like he is a great coach.”
Franklin, who remains in no hurry to rush to a decision, still has Tennessee high on his list coming out of Saturday.
“It is still the same, really,” Franklin said of the Vols standing. “They are still high on my list right now. I enjoyed it, and I will be back for a spring practice, if not the spring game.”
He will also take trips to several other schools, as he continues to narrow the focus in his recruitment.
“Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida State, the University of Miami, and I will be back here,” Franklin said on where he will visit in the spring.
Franklin will have the month of February to process, as recruits cannot take any visits, and then he will hit the road hard in the spring. As he does, he knows what he is looking for in a school.
I am looking for a place that feels like home,” he said. “A place that is going to develop me on and off the field, and just who has the best interest at heart.”

I don't get the hate toward Deion. If he steals some top recruits from Bama/UF/UGA while keeping some west coast kids away from said schools, then I'm all for that. Sure DBs will be interested in playing for Deion but aside from that, in the long term I wouldn't worry about it really. Wingo, KB, etc aren't going to Colorado. Tennessee hasn't been recruiting the kind of kids that will be interested in Colorado under Heupel

Cincinnati (Oh.) Archbishop Moeller high school running back Jordan Marshall has remained a top priority for Jerry Mack and the Tennessee staff. On Saturday, he returned to Tennessee for the first time since Tennessee hosted Florida. Following the trip, which included a campus tour, a photo shoot, one-on-one time with the staff, and the chance to take in some of the basketball game against Texas, Marshall detailed the day spent with Josh Heupel, Jerry Mack and the Tennessee staff with Volquest.
“It was great. Just to be back down there. It’s been forever since we have been down there,” Marshall said. “Just to be back in the atmosphere and around coach Heupel and coach Mack was great.
“We talked some ball and about how I would be used there. They really see me fitting their scheme. I see myself fitting in it the more we talk about it and the more I learn about it. I really did used to just think they were pass happy and things like that. The more I get to learn about it I find out something knew every single time.”
The Saturday visit was different for Marshall than his trip back in September, which was important because he was looking for some different things.
“I got to sit down with coach Mack the whole time. I got to talk with coach Heup twice. Getting to know the staff more was probably one of the biggest goals of the trip down here,” Marshall said.
As for his bond with Mack, Marshall said it’s continuing to grow and Tennessee’s message to him is very clear.
“It’s really good and we are building it. We talk every other day. We get on the phone or he texts me. Same with Max Thurmond. It’s great getting to talk to those guys and see how they really care about me.”
“Just that they want me. I’m wanted there. Just really talking about where he sees me. He wants me to that guy, a face of the program.”
Marshall is currently rated as an On3 Consensus four-star recruit, ranked as the 117th overall prospect, eighth-best running back, and fourth-best prospect from the state of Ohio in the 2024 class. As for where things stand with his recruitment, Marshall said he has four schools on his mind and he plans to see all four of them again later this spring. Tennessee is in that four.
“They are up there with three other schools. It’s those final four. This visit was really good for me to make sure they were still up there and I felt really good about them,” Marshall said of the Vols.
“I definitely plan to come back down here to see a spring practice and to see spring practice at the other schools then official visits.”
On3 rates Marshall as the nation’s 45th-overall prospect, fourth-best running back, and top overall prospect from the state of Mississippi in the 2024 class.
Marshall holds offers from multiple major powers, including Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others.

Agree…..
*Some have never liked him…….I get that
But……..
*Some would absolutely LOVE him if the situation was different and he was doing this kind of flash in Knoxville.
