I’ve stayed out of the BB discussion until now but my opinion has been the same from the start of the season.
We have no top level players, they play solid D and when shots are falling can hang with about anyone, but Kentucky talent is miles ahead.
A good regular season record to get hopes up but another disappointing ending is in store.

Team is making a lot of mistakes today on offense and cant hit the side of a barn. Some bad turnovers today that will get you beat on the road so far as well. On top of this we are getting rupped by the refs. They took our best guard out of the game really early and it's been a disaster ever since. Zeigler is our point man, the refs knew what they were doing by whistling him for two quick ones. Seems as though everyone is out to justify that weak 3 seed ranking we were given.

The sad thing is that most of the shot selections are good. It's been like this all year. They just can't hit anything. We need a pure shooter and we just don't have one. Z has only been that at the end of last season.

This is why I don’t bail so early. There’s still a chance we have an all time comeback win. If we aren’t within 10 by the 10 minute mark, though, I may bail. Need to get in an afternoon run.

The difference is athleticism when we don’t have JJJ and Phillips against other top teams is wide. Key and Vescovi are good shooters and complementary pieces but not good enough athletes to get their bucket reliably.

Just have to hope we get healthy and then get hot at the right time
