That's my guess. I think we have a lot of youth sports tournaments and events (baseball, softball and soccer) so that's probably part of it, too. They had considered building a hotel onto the convention center at one time, but decided not too. But they've added at least 5 hotels in the past couple years "down the hill".

Just FYI, the convention center is really closer to the bottom of that hill. It's Dug Gap Battle mountain, and if you keep following that road, when you get near the top you have good views to the east, and then to the west if you go a little farther. I used to live a couple miles down the road on the west side of that hill.

And so I don't seem like a complete ingrate, my wife and I both have really good jobs here (neither of us is in the carpet industry!), and I'm just 1.5-2 hours away from Knoxville! It's the closest SEC school to me, so even though I live in Georgia, I'm closest to Good Ole' Tennessee.

Seems like a really nice area. I like those winding roads and hilly areas. I could definitely live there if I didn’t have to work down here.

I don't blame you. For me, that was by far the best game/feeling since Jauan Jennings caught the hail mary! And to boot, I kicked a bucket list item rushing the field w my Dad, who raised me a Vols fan.

Draft is way too late in the year. Ive never understood it. Should be late March. So far away from the combine...

The combine should be the weekend before the draft. How far apart are the combine and draft? 6 weeks?

It depends on which Tennessee team shows up. I could see us beating them 75-45 or in a close game, like 62-58 either way. If we just hit our free throws. . .

I would most certainly sit there and watch…. My daughter has been in altercations on the court…. The refs and police will clean it up….. if an adult ran down after my daughter…. Then I would be coming out of the stands and we would be both going to jail.

Your daughter has not been repeatedly punched in the face by another person and you just sat there and watched. It's really easy to sit there and virtue signal when you've never been in that sitiation.
