The negativity is because what we are losing from is stuff you shouldn’t lose from at the college level. The stuff we lost from has nothing to do with “rebuilding” it’s all stuff that should be natural for a D1 baseball player.

Base running is something you should already know when you get to college. Catching an underhanded ball thrown to first is easy or throwing to first with two outs instead of trying to make a tag. Those are all things that don’t require “rebuilding.” You are literally always taught on 2 outs to get the lead runner or the easiest bag. You are never taught to make a tag because so many things can happen on a tag.

Those little things are frustrating and embarrassing if you want to be a “good” team you can’t make those mistakes. It’s fundamental baseball.

That stuff happens when you play 70 games, especially against the #1 team. Most of our guys are playing everyday in the SEC for the first time. I just don’t get the day to day negativity when it’s a long haul like basketball.

Bit of an over-reaction. We were in the game in the 8th against one of the best pitchers in the country. Made one critical error that snowballed. Don't think that's embarrassing.

He got hired. The Bobby Petrino's of the world exist at the HS level too. They can always find a place willing to sell their soul to win games. It's funny with Probst, the people I know with integrity that worked with him see him as a con artist. The Shelton Feltons think he's the greatest thing ever.

Last years team was good top to bottom offense to defense.

We were spoiled and didn’t capitalize.

This years team is okay. Great arms. Average bats. Bad defense.

We had both baserunning and defense issues at times last year as well.

Not on a routine play. Strike out is different. Have I made errors? Yes. It happens.

The errors that occurred should not have happened. The Miss play by Moore shouldn’t have happened. That is fundamental. Plus Moore got called off twice during the game and never got out of the way, which almost caused even more issues.
