Got ya and thank you. I need like a beginner’s guide for this topic.

My beginners guide is don't buy into to much of the hype until you have tried a bunch of things. My favorite bottles are $60 or less and easy to find (Woodford Double Oak and Four Roses Small Batch "Select"). I own OWA, Elmer T Lee and Blanton's (all found at retail price) but still reach more for the first two.

Russell Reserve, Wild Turkey 101, Old Tub, Makers Mark, a few of the Old Forresters and a Knob Creek 9 year are all great places to start developing a discerning taste at easy entry points and easy to find.

Drink what you like, not what someone tells you should.
And lastly, in my strongest opinion, Bourbon is meant to be shared. If you won't open the bottle with your friends, don't buy it. All my friends know that ANY bottle on my shelf is free to partake in when they come over.

Its a little before, a little after and mostly 100 years after the "truce." Which happened in 1876, so mostly takes place in 1976. England negotiated the truce to remain a superpower. The North agreed to end it if the South abolished slavery which they did and England offered to ship to the new country of Liberia any slaves that wanted their own land and country. Most left. Now the borders have reopened and the new government is trying to establish itself but there are many that don't want it to succeed. It's told through the people that amassed at a border crossing in West Virginia, some going north, some south. There are a plethora of characters and storylines Im juggling but I think I see where it ends. I think.
Sounds awesome!
