Agree about the turnarounds. Japan had very little to gain with that deal. They wanted China's resources. Not sure why they thought jumping in bed with the Nazis would help with that.Imo they saw in the Axis like-minded powers that were stratocracies at minimum, military dictatorships at worst. The sort of good folks they'd like to deal with
Credit to them and ze Germans though. Total turnarounds since. Once countries focus on cooperative trade and economy, rather than tribalistic battles over resources, it's like things get better magically.
I had Kleinfelter as well. I had my weekly discussion class with the TA early Thursday mornings. She rarely wore a bra. Good times.Same experience here with physics. Guy was asian with a very, very heavy accent. Rarely faced the class so it was always a pain to hear him and when we could, it was hard to understand him. Got the same guy in back to back quarters. Dropped each time and on the third go round, I got a prof I could hear and understand. They should have put that guy on TV like they did with Kleinfelter. Rather enjoyed the TV class and TA setup.
I think this is definitely a legitimate concern after we arrived early and had a great season last year. Taking a step back after a great year does get the grumbling going. I still think we are in the 8-4, 9-3 range though and that really should be acceptable imo.
I’ll say 3-10. Anything above that would be a miracle. With this schedule?
2023 Football Schedule - University of Colorado Athletics
I had kleinfelter for chemistry…. I made a 15 on the first exam….. I was top 10% in a class of over 300…. Went to drop and add that day…. He taught on TV…. Was never in his office…. Couldn’t understand the TA….. I was lost.I had Kleinfelter as well. I had my weekly discussion class with the TA early Thursday mornings. She rarely wore a bra. Good times.
10-2 I certainly possible. GMs are going to be shivving each other to draft Milton #1 if that is the case.Nobody on our schedule got significantly better than they were last year. Most are equal or maybe even slightly worse off. We have a few questions on the OL but Elerbee will have them ready to go. I think our defense will be much improved from last year and that will take a lot of pressure off. I see no reason why we shouldn't be 10-2 in the regular season and I will be thoroughly ensconced at 15-0 probably by mid June at the latest.
When you only lose two games….. it’s more likely to go down than up….We could have very easily lost a couple games more this past season that went in our favor….. I don’t see us having much of a drop off if any this year though.Nobody on our schedule got significantly better than they were last year. Most are equal or maybe even slightly worse off. That’s the thing with football. There are always close calls. We COULD have gone 7-5 last year (Pitt, UF, Bama in addition to the other two we lost) and that line between winning and losing is often perilously thin. It’s why I think @Ulysees E. McGill has the right attitude about not freaking out over one game or even one disappointing season. Sometimes the breaks just don’t go your way. Last year for us they largely did for once. When you only lose two games….. it’s more likely to go down than up….We could have very easily lost a couple games more this past season that went in our favor….. 100%Butch recruited that roster, though. So he at least gave us a chance. For some reason, our fans wanna dog him more than Dooley or Pruitt, who were much worse. Butch beat Georgia, Florida, Virginia Tech, and won 3 bowls. Dooley never had a winning season and Pruitt had one (and never beat a rival). Butch gave us the best seasons and biggest victories between Fulmer and Heupel, but for some reason, it’s Butch, not Dooley/Pruitt, who is enemy #1 to many Vol fans. Let’s also not forget that Tennessee has to play Bama every year, while the others in the SEC East do not, so Tennessee was handicapped in winning the East, whether the East was down or not.
Butch underachieved and should have been fired, but the obsession with attacking him instead of Dooley or Pruitt is weird. I’d rather have 9-win seasons and go to bowls than losing seasons getting blown out by Florida, Georgia, and SC.
I stuck with him all three quarters. I was very fortunate to have very good TAs. Made all the difference. I think I got B's all three times. When you only lose two games….. it’s more likely to go down than up….We could have very easily lost a couple games more this past season that went in our favor….. The Butch years were clearly the best of the bunch but I dislike him considerably more than I dislike Dooley or Pruitt.100%
Dooley was EASILY the worst coach of my lifetime (and I'd say the worst HIRE all-time...a losing La Tech coach...Hammy I blame above all).
Pruitt had more blowouts than any coach in our history and left a cheater and us in deep waters with the NCAA.
Butch may have had the most punchable face, cringey, and a shiz human being it turns out, but was miles ahead of the other two. 2015 and 2016 were actually really fun and 2015 was easily our best team since 2007 (actually better than that team, but I get folks will prioritize a division winner and that's cool) right up until last year.
SickIs it really worth it to pick certain players every year to just hate on every time they take the field or court?

Thought it was a divide up the world into empires with Nazis getting Europe, and Japan getting Asia agreement. Still don’t understand why Japan thought bringing the US was of any advantage to them.Agree about the turnarounds. Japan had very little to gain with that deal. They wanted China's resources. I believe their thinking was they would effectively kill our fleet in one fell swoop and we'd cease to be a threat to their interests in the Pacific. But our carriers weren't present at Pearl Harbor and they misjudged our reaction.Thought it was a divide up the world into empires with Nazis getting Europe, and Japan getting Asia agreement. *at home*This baseball team won't lose another game this season
They really did have a superiority complex with race, intelligence and military might.I believe their thinking was they would effectively kill our fleet in one fell swoop and we'd cease to be a threat to their interests in the Pacific.
