Thank you for the explanation. Why does baseball have so many weird rules? Like that HS game that was lost because the catcher bounced the ball on the final out making the struck out batter a runner and allowing the other team to score while the pitching team was celebrating because no one realized that was the rule and the catcher had pocketed the ball from the one guy on the team that realized it.
