For those of you that still don't understand baseball...THIS is what we mean when we say..."that's just baseball".

Last years team is among the greatest, most dominant CBB teams that has ever played...and they did not do this.

That team won the SEC tournament which makes it harder to make it to the college World Series…. Where’s the Vandy Boys? Doesn’t mean you can’t make but it’s a lot harder without that break.

That team won the SEC tournament which makes it harder to make it to the college World Series…. Where’s the Vandy Boys? Doesn’t mean you can’t make but it’s a lot harder without that break.

Meh...I don't think that had a dern thing to do with it...ND just played a couple of great games and we played way below our ability....even the greatest baseball teams at every level lose a couple in the short run...that's just baseball.

If we played ND 20 times last year, we would have beaten them 15 times...but all they had to do in a short series was win 2 out of 3.

GOVOLS so happy to wake up this morning and see that they won! With everything that was thrown against the basevols, stuck under bleachers, questionable food, rain delays, hattiesburg, espn bias, they prevailed! So proud of this team and their accomplishments! WooHoo!!!

Both can be true….. 60+ games is a lot on these college guys…. That’s why teams in the sec tourney use to just pitch midweek guys…. That break for arm care and tweaking things that are not going well is invaluable, imo…. SEC tourney means nothing.

I 100% disagree...that is a completely asinine statement. We won SEC championships last year...that is a very real, great achievement...no...it wasn't the ultimate championship, but it was not "nothing" either.

Can you imagine how it would have felt winning nothing but the SEC regular season with THAT team...come on man

My wife and I did not miss one pitch. It was worth it.

A team full of guys who step up is better than a team with a few stars who carry it. Look back over the season from where they started to becoming an Elite Eight team in the CWS. Amazing journey, never quit. Fought through adversity and animosity at every turn.

A big thank you to the SR umpiring crew for being fair and calling it the same way with both teams. That's all you can ask.

At this time of year you want to have the best pitching with solid D because the park you will be playing in is not HR friendly. Manage your emotions and focus on the fundamentals. Having a chip on your shoulder helps as you will battle every single pitch. Which is exactly where this team is.

Specifics - I want Burke to quit spinning when he swings. Step toward the pitch, he's getting ridiculous. I want Dickey to quit dipping his back shoulder - swing on plane. When he does he is one of the best hitters in the game. I want Moore to keep his head in the swing. He's rolling it out. I want Ahuma to shorten his swing. It is way too long for a lead off hitter with speed. They all need to focus on hitting opposite field with outside pitches and quit trying to pull everything to be the hero.

Not much to say on pitching. Lindsey was overthrowing in the first game. He needs to take a chill pill and relax. Dollander needs to avoid the big inning by pitching to his target, which is framed well by Stark. He depends on his talent too much at times, needs to be more Beam like and he becomes unhittable. The rest have been outstanding with Burns being a superhero.

Let's see what happens. Even if does not go well, it has already gone better than I hoped for with the lack of experience this team had going in. What a great season!

I thing both are true tbh. It is an accomplishment and you always want to win everything but it can also put you at a disadvantage for the bigger prize. It's an interesting discussion imo.

I’m completely fine with you caring about the SEC tourney….. I, personally, wish they would do away with it…. I didn’t care in 1990…. Didn’t care last year until the championship game( wanted the win at that time)…. Was happy we didn’t advance this year and won’t care next year either.

It would be nice if they expanded the SEC schedule a bit. Not a ton, prob three series max. But getting rid of tourney is a no brainer. Also, they gotta fix this NCAA tourney, its a mess. Regionals, Super Regionals, then CWS. They need to seed the teams, in orderly, logical fashion. Tie it back to reg season schedule, and record.
