I wish @Freak would open a forum on VolNation's blueprint for every other major university, . I just went to UVA's forum to have a look at the river of tears. . . it is 2023 and it's still setup like a bulletin-board forum from 1996.
We usually have our kayaks, but the forecast isn't going to make it worthwhile to haul them with us. I catch a ton of reds and trout off the dock and surrounding area...all on artificials. 20# braid can cast a long way with some lures, so I can cover a huge area. Really good flats covering the entire area and they stack up in a few spots and feed heavy when the tide turns. It's not as fun as being on the water sight fishing for reds, but it's not a bad fallback option when the weather is uncooperative.it would be hard to just cast artificials off a dock. I mean, Ive been there 100 times.
