I hate these clock rules. Instead of cutting the ridiculously long halftimes or commercial breaks they decide to reduce the games by at least 20 plays, Or 2-3 drives per team 🙄

I'm pretty sure they changed the clock rules to decrease the number of plays in a game. Cutting commercial breaks wouldn't have accomplished that. Not sure why they didn't just shorten the quarters.

They said # of plays was a reason, but they said the main reason was because they didn’t want the games running 3+ hours, which is funny because of the ridiculous amount of commercials that are in the game now

Wonder how that will truly hurt us…really puts a disadvantage on teams who like to play at a slower pace..kinda takes the underdog advantage out of it which i don’t think is fair

I honestly dont think we will score more than 50 points because of the clock rules. Just going based on the game now, it looks like most teams will get 8 possessions per game, which is why i dont think many teams will score 50+ points in a game anymore

They don’t want the games to run into the next game time…. They are not going to cut something that is making them money.
