I'm in VA! Yeah, the island should be free to access if you have a federal duck stamp. Also, I think on Sunday's it's free to access.

I never have a problem because it's free to hunt and I always have a duck stamp on me.

Wachapreague (flounder capitol of the world), Chincoteague (Misty of Chincoteague wild pony), Assateague, Assawoman, Mattawoman, Kegotank, Machipongo, Metompkin, Onancock, Occahonnack, Nassawaddox... that's just a handful on the Virginia portion of the peninsula off the top of my head.
