As a mom of a child who had an IEP up until Junior year of high school (auditory/processing disorder) you have to do a big part of the work as a parent because you are correct, the schools are not equipped to deal with it, and even if they are, don’t do a bang up job imo.. we tried the private school route, but they would not accept her due to her diagnosis (we don’t have those resources).. it’s extremely frustrating because we (my family) have all of the money in the world but are powerless to do anything to help her with the exception of me helping her (a lot).. and getting various tutors when she struggles.. Sylvan, Huntington etc are for the birds
I’m glad Sylvan worked for you, I just always felt fleeced and she never seemed to get anything from it .. I pretty much just break down what they learned into smaller bites and bam! She’s got it! The state curriculum has gotten much more challenging then when I went through, so the math we farm out because I don’t know what the heck is going on and I’m a fairly bright person lol… I think everyone learns differently and they just don’t have the time to individualize.. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I am glad she is graduating this May because Mama’s tiredIts a lot of work.
I see he still hasn’t done anything about that Andrew Luck neck beard, but I’ll let it slide if he’s scheming up tuddies instead of shaving.

I haven't kept up with their roster, so you think they are losing a lot of key players? Rattler will be back and a few others...
