Per Coach Mathews, we have 5-7 spots left. Couple of the commits will be asked to look elsewhere. Also said that blue shirting will probably be put into effect with this class.

He specifically said that 2 of the commits will blue shirt. My guess: Townsend and Lovingood.

He also said that about 3 of our current commits will be asked to look elsewhere.

He said we have the potential of having 12 EEs. Also said there is a LB who is on campus that is close to committing (Sapp).

Only issue with the blue shirting idea is multiple sources have said both Townsend and Lovingood will sign scholarships with the 2015 class.

"A blueshirt is a player who arrived on campus as a "preferred" or "recruited" walk-on and goes on to earn a football scholarship. The NCAA doesn't allow for schools to produce written promises of scholarships to walk-ons, but that doesn't stop a school from telling a prospect who walks on that an offer is coming after a certain point".

Obviously a blue shirt would not be signing on NSD with the 2015 class.

From a poster on VQ who follows Mathews' radio.

"We have 22 current commits. 2 of those can be blue shirted if needed. Doug didn't state who for obvious reasons, but I would none willing to bet the long snapper & Joc Bruce are those 2 names. They can't be visited off campus by the staff and can't come on official visits and can just show up on campus next year when school starts and be placed on scholarship and not count against the 2015 numbers. They WOULD take 2 spots away from the 2016 class however."

I can see a specialist that is a sold out Vol agreeing to a blue shirt to help the team. It would be a rare event. More likely would be the pruning of the herd to provide for some of the better recruits they obviously are getting opportunities to pick up. The recruiting business is what it is at a high level.

I guess what I don't get is how would it help BSing a couple this year when next years class will be 25 of less just as this year will be. Like I mentioned in another thread, I'll believe the blue shirt talk when it actually ever happens. Lots of talk about it last year and it never happened.

I thought I remember the staff having visited Bruce off campus before and looking at 247, it shows CBJ and CMB visited Bruce in January.

Anybody know who this Kazz is?
@its_kaskas: Nice chilling wit my dudes @dillonbates tonight

It appears he's campaigning for a kicking spot.

Quick question and I'm sure it's been answered before. On the SEC network, If there is two games scheduled at the same time would the game closes to you air?

I'm assuming that it will only be one channel. Tia.

I really hope they don't air 2 games at once. This could deff hurt me living in Illinois.

Don't think there will ever be 2 games at once. I heard an interview with Matt Stinchcomb, and he said there will be a noon game and I think, an early evening game.

This. There's a max of 7 games, CBS, ESPN, ABC, SECN can easily provide them with no overlap.

Re-reading the first pages of the Greg Miclisse thread right now...it's such a train wreck waiting to happen, but I can't stop haha. Comments like "Can't wait till we lock this kid up" and "wonder if we can get him away from Bama/ND".

With it being scheduled on the SEC netowrk I do wonder if they will air it on ESPN, or do they add SECNetwork2 as a channel?

After 45 mins of research and you tube I found this nice tidbit

"Part of the distribution conversations is clearing an overflow channel so that every home that has the SEC Network will be able to get both games," said ESPN Senior Vice President of Programming Justin Connolly, who will oversee the network. "That's key: Make the content available to anyone who wants it."
