That game vs Florida was honestly the worst outing I've ever seen from a college QB. Duck hunters all over the southeast were licking their chops the entire game.

I know there were a lot of factors that culminated in the embarrassing performance, but it was honestly atrocious to the point where I still get nauseous thinking about.

Crompton vs. Auburn 2008 was worse, IMO.

As for Peterman, it was his first college start, ever. It was in the most hostile environment he'd ever played in, at that point in his still very young career. And he had a bum hand which he selfishly kept to himself, instead of telling the coaches, like he should have. I kind of give him a pass...kind of.

I'm not saying I want him starting but I'd sure as hell rather have the guy under center who's earned it the most in camp, rather than simply because you're the Senior.

He's a sophomore. If he wins the job, he has two games against two decent to average teams at home...that's not a bad foundation to build on. If he continues to get better and actually develops, then we (hopefully) have our guy for the next few years.

But honestly, I'm not pulling for one over the other, I just want someone to step up and it seems, for now, that it's Peterman who's doing that.

Exactly 3 weeks from tonight I'll have massive amounts of beer and whiskey in me singing Rocky Top all night long. It's great to be a Vol!!

Watching a replay of UT vs UGA, and damn this is some excellent play calling right now. I think, especially on offense, we can open things up this year.

I've been missing all the fun lately. What's the story on fall camp, 14-0? 4-8?

I've had a few beers this evening, cheers to all of VN and Freak for the best site on the internet! :toast:

We had all sorts of opportunities to win. First and goal from the 5...settle for field goal. Letting Murray run all over the field...feels like we wernt good enough to grab a game we were being handed.

Bajakian called an outstanding game that day, especially in the 2nd half. That Georgia defense was on their heels big time in the 4th quarter. The toss to Neal on 4th down and the PA pass to Bransiel were things of beauty and ballsy as hell.

VN needs your positivity and homerism, Swanson. The RF is becoming very pessimistic these days.

I was so happy about where the offense was going during that game. Then they got by USCe even if it wasn't as creative. And then it stopped. Dead. Buried. Nothing. I thought somebody must have died for it to just go totally vanilla the rest of the season.

Yeah, a freshman QB came in for the remainder of the season.

Yep and we also faced three very good defenses with Bama, Mizzou and Vandy.

I will say that I think Bajakian's two worst games in 2013 was Florida and Vandy. I think he learned a lot after the UF game and it's probably not much of a stretch to say that North being out vs Vandy really, really screwed up any chance of a downfield passing attack.

Loved the play calling. Loved the play of the OL. DL amazed me with how little pressure they were able to get all year last season.

Really excited about the offense moving forward, as well as the massive upgrade of speed on defense.

Some FF-style freaking out over poor QB play early. Peterman picking up momentum at 2nd string. Moseley is a stud. Barnett is a stud. Hurd is a stud. Gilliam still holding onto the LT spot with Blair finally making a charge.

I'm sure there's more others can summarize.
