There's this theory I've heard about recruiting and I'm no coach so I don't know whether or not it's true or even valid.

I've heard a lot of coaches look for kids that "aren't shaving" yet. I think this was the case with Dobbs in highschool and, to some extent, his freshman year. He hadn't hit his physical peak yet.

Somebody better buy that guy some razors though... After last week and tonight I'm pretty sure he's going to be shaving twice daily.

Some were getting on CBJ for telling Richmond that he thinks of him as a son, but watching him talking, I tend to believe that he looks after his players like his kids and they appreciate that. That's one thing that we should be proud about in having CBJ as a coach.

With both Missouri and Kentucky at home, I'm feeling a lot better after that win.

Jancek and Butch have a lot of fixing to do on defense. They've messed up a good thing recently, and they have to fix it.

Butch kept this team playing hard though. They didnt give up, and that's on the coach. Jake looks to have figured things out with Dobbs. I'll refrain from commenting too much on why it took so long. Just glad it happened.

Feels so good to win one. We got out coached all night, but talent and effort came through in the end. Glad I didn't type what I was thinking when Davis ran for 70!

Yeah the match ups moving forward will allow us to go back to previous game plans... The two coopers get moved around so much I can see why they felt zone was best. The bigger issue to me is the early season snaps and lack of depth is catching up. The team plays tired to me on D. JRM seems worn out and not making those big plays he was before. We also don't seem as aggressive with our front 7 activity as we used to be. We let it loose late and it worked.

I wonder if Tux and others still think Dobbs stinks and has no talent because of his freshman year playing SEC ball as a toothpick. #1 QB Kyle Allen sucked against LA Monroe. It's just tough to play QB as a true freshman at a big school

Embarrassed to say that I turned the channel when SC went up 42 - 28.... Poured myself another whiskey drink turned on a movie and ate enough leftover Kit Kat Halloween candy to kill most men. Didn't realize the score until 15 minutes ago. I gave up, but I'm glad our guys didn't.

Here's hoping the bye week has come at the right time and allows the defense to get their legs under them again. I can see the UK game being another barn burner but I have a hard time believing the anemic Mizzou and Vandy offenses will light the scoreboard

You know there are some people out there who went to bed when Wilds for that 70-yard run.

Imagine their shock tomorrow when someone at church asks them how about the Vols?? They're liable to just get plum mad thinking they're getting teased.

And then boom, they get a jubilant shock of excitement followed by anger at themselves for not experiencing it live. Ha!
