I'm aware. UT AD will make sure every big media outlet has someone in Knoxville to cover the press conference. Not just ESPN and SEC Network. That requires plenty of advance notice. Guys need to book flights and hotel rooms.
Gruden asked the Seattle station not ask about any coaching opportunities, only ask about MNF game. Then Gruden brought up Brock Huard going to call the UT game and what a great song Rocky Top is.

Me neither. Just saying that UT would make sure guys from every national sports media outlet would be in town to cover it. That's why 2 p.m. today makes no sense.
My other theory on Finebaum is that he's flying to Knoxville to get the scoop or to be in position to break the story. Given that SEC Network is an ESPN entity, and both Finebaum and Gruden are ESPN employees.
Just seems odd to me that he would be in Knoxville today. Could be for any number of reasons, though.
I find that very hard to believe as well. I will say this, I can see them giving very little notice of a presser. If they said presser at 2:00 today, everyone would know who it was.
