Not precisely what I said, but a fair interpretation. Should have clarified that it doesn't recruit itself to the extent that we need it to. In a subsequent post, I said it provided a floor, but we need much, much, much more than a top 25 floor.
Now the next part I'm about to bring up does require a little translation and "Starkville" talk. The main reason I would have Mullen directly behind Gruden, Kelly, Petersen, and Patterson, is because his track record provides nearly factual evidence that he would bring consistently great QB play to the table. That is the X factor with him IMO. Now for the translation part, his on field success and history of sending players to the league has him recruiting probably 15-20 spots higher than Mississippi State's floor. If that translates to UT (and it is reasonable to think it would), he would firmly have us finishing in the top 10-15 in recruiting. Now that's not on par with UGA or Bama, but factoring in the QB play could offset that a bit. That's my thing anyway, but that admittedly involves some translation and conjecture.
I want you to admit that you're wrong a lot more than the national average and at an even higher rate when you're emotional...then apologize! :aggressive:
