Per multiple VolQuest.com sources we have confirmed that Tennessee is "close" to having a deal with Greg Schiano as its new head coach.

Dan Woken of USA Today was first to report the negotiations.

Barring any cold feet, the Ohio State defensive coordinator is set to replace Butch Jones. An announcement time remains fluid.

As we noted last night, Schiano's name as come into focus in the last day or so.
