I've prepared myself to expect a Kevin Steele hiring soon because Tennessee has settled to be mediocre. I don't care that he is a former Vol, I can't support that hire no matter what he did at Auburn this year I just can't or won't.

The only way we get out of this alive is to hire Tee. Why? Because it's going to take UT blood to endure the sewage our University is about to walk through over the next few seasons. There's going to be turmoil in the AD like never before, recruiting will suffer, fans and boosters will loose some interest, and anyone other than UT blood will run like hell. He's the only one capable of coaching that's experienced the former greatness that was once UT....hopefully that's enough to keep him at the helm while all the chit flys around.

Rumblings that he's seriously in play. Perhaps the frontrunner at this point. We'll see. Tracking as much as we can.

Tee Martin, potentially
Kiffin, as much as I hate to say it
Mike Leach, but it would never happen

To be fair, steele and chavis on the same staf could potentially produce a damn good defense. On the flipside, if they dont get along it could be awful. Also may need someone stronger than Sanders at OC.
