He won’t leave for Louisville.

My first and only bit of inside info from someone who has had connections with Louisville and the Brohms before now. Louisville and Notre Dame are the 2 jobs that you'd have to worry yourself about him coveting down the road. So, set the contract up in such a way that you protect yourself if he were to go to one of those jobs.

I heard Hubbs repeat this same statement on 104.5 this morning as well. So, I take it to be pretty legit.

Pay the guy whatever it takes at this point. We need a competent HC and I think Brohm would have our offense back on track next year. Yes we'll have to overpay but at this point we have no choice if we want a decent coach. DO NOT LET HIM THINK ABOUT IT OVERNIGHT MAKE HIM SIGN RIGHT THEN RIGHT THERE.

With where we are, pay the man. JB just hit the lotto and didn't even have to buy a ticket. I'd make sure the contract is set up to keep him from bailing out if UL or ND come calling soon. Get it done UT brass. This fan base is a mess, much like the AD.

hes not a c list coach though. hes really good. and i dont give a damn what they pay him. its not like we are in a good spot to negotiate anyways. Just give me a really good football coach and he is that.

If you paid $55K per seat, your perspective might be different.

Brohm played under 3 Super Bowl winning coaches.
30-10 at WKU ave 40 puts + per game 3 years
Vegas over/under 2.5 yet wins 6 games at Purdue /Bowl elig 1st year
Improved defense 90 spots in one yr
Excellent staff with NFL ties to sell recruits
Petrino offense without baggage

Make sure huge buyout offer 5 million with 10 mil buyout or 6 million with 15 mil buyout

Why are people caring about buyouts? If this **** stain of an administration hadn't made egregious error after egregious error we wouldn't be in this position

I’m not doubting that. I’m just saying he’s not going to leave UT for Louisville. Would be hard to see happening under any circumstances as long as things were going OK at UT, but really hard to see here as we will overpay and lock him in.
