Was looking at his record at WKU. Lost 5 combined games in 2nd and 3rd seasons there. That includes at Indiana, at LSU, at Bama, and in OT to Vandy. So only 1 conference loss against like competition.

Brohms QB during his last 2 years at WKU:

Doughty completed 356 of 541 passes for 5,055 yards with 48 touchdowns. His 5,055 yards in the 2015 season broke his previous record for most yards in a single season. From the beginning of the 2014 season to the end of the 2015 season he threw for 97 touchdowns, more than any other quarterback in a two-year span in NCAA history. Doughty finished his career in the top 25 in NCAA history for career passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completion percentage. Doughty played in the 2016 East-West Shrine game prior to the 2016 NFL Draft.

I need a complete sell on Brian Brohm’s brother.

I know he threw a chair. I know about Purdue’s records. Give me offensive stats, recruiting ability, likely staff members, any connections he may have.

His WKU records impress me. His first year there was as an OC under Petrino. Here are the WKU team stats from 2014 to 2016 when he was the HC:

2014
Record: 8-5 (37th of 128)
Conference: CUSA (East Division)
Conference Record: 4-4
Points For: 577
Points/G: 44.4 (6th of 128)
Points Against: 519
Opp Pts/G: 39.9 (124th of 128)

2015
Record: 12-2 (5th of 128)
Rank: 24th in the Final AP poll
Conference: CUSA (East Division)
Conference Record: 8-0
Points For: 620
Points/G: 44.3 (3rd of 128)
Points Against: 363
*He beat Willie Taggart's USF team in their bowl game*

2016
Record: 11-3 (8th of 128)
Conference: CUSA (East Division)
Conference Record: 7-1
Coach: Jeff Brohm (10-3), Nick Holt (1-0)
Points For: 637
Points/G: 45.5 (1st of 128)
Points Against: 344
Opp Pts/G: 24.6 (41st of 128)
*He beat Mike Norvell's Memphis team in their bowl game*

I think his offensive and coaching of the offense would be lightyears ahead of Butch. The guy played football at a very high level, which also makes a difference, IMO. But, it's the overall picture I'm more concerned about (defense, recruiting, player management, etc.). I don't know about any coaching connections other than the fact that he has worked for Ron Zook and Petrino in the past.

Thanks for the warning Ron. Just inserted my steel cup again for the day to be prepared for the swift kick.

But I do so hope he will accept. Waiting for the invisible podium.

Let's try this. He will turn us down. I will not be positive or hopeful because we suck right now. He is not coming.

Brohm: "I have to tell you, John, I'm really intrigued by this deal. Tennessee is a great place."

Currie: "You're welcome. Have you ever thought it was kind of weird how there's a lot of inconsistencies about the accounts of what happened in the Holocaust?"

Brohm: "...What?"

Currie: "Bush did 9/11."

Brohm: "...I'm sorry, I don't really...I don't..."

Currie: "Charles Manson was railroaded. Also, wouldn't it be cool if you could eat those candles they sell at Bed Bath & Beyond that smell so good?"

Brohm: "I'm going to...I'm going to go."

Currie: "I like ham."

Oh my god this is the post of the millennium

Just watching videos on him looks like he should have success recruiting, if signing day was right now Purdue would have its highest rated class since 2012 according to 247.

So UT will hire a coach with little P5 experience and leave in place the inept, incompetent leadership that lead to being in this situation in the first place. Wonderful. You'll forgive me if I'm not very excited about the whole thing.
