I saw that. Knoxville media is like "No one trashes the UT football program and its beloved players EXCEPT US!"

LOL. It must be a southern thing -- like no one can trash my bro or anyone else in my family but me.

What did Hyams say/do?

Alexis situation may end in a reinstatement. I know this is nothing new but I've heard some rumblings that sound very similar to the Pearson situation

I will try and bring whatever I hear, but like Any situation similar to this, it will be kept quiet (and rightfully so)

It's odd when learning history that we are taught the progression of Babylonian, Greek, and Roman cultures while the Etruscan contributions are ignored. Romans attributed with establishing the color purple as a symbol of Royalty being one example, casting respected leaders in statues of bronze being another.

Etruscans would be like Hey! Over here! Been there, done that.

Love this era of history, so I have to reply to this. Apologies in advance for going off-topic.

A common phrase goes something like "History is written by the victors." Not really... instead, history is written by the writers. We focus on Greece and Rome because they left behind lots of texts that have survived to this day - from prose by Homer, Virgil, etc to actual historical accounts by writers like Herodotus. Babylon wasn't quite as literate, but they still produced things such as Hammurabi's code of laws or the Epic of Gilgamesh that have survived, at least partially.

For the Etruscans' part, they did have a written language but we haven't been able to fully decode what few significant written artifacts have survived. Most of our knowledge about them comes from architectural finds. So we can't teach about these sweeping, memorable events like Alexander or Julius Caesar because we just don't have that knowledge.

Your response is about ancient history. More recent history omits much of the true cause for the effects reached. Do not believe everything you read; read between the lines.

Monty Williams is an assistant coach for the OKC Thunder, and recently lost his wife in a head on collision when another car crossed the median and hit her vehicle head on. I thought the speech he gave at her funeral was amazing so I thought I would share

He is a stronger man than I. I would forgive but not sure I would have the ability to do so that quickly. Not surprising this man came from the San Antonio's system which is the class of the NBA.

I don't know if anyone is following this Michigan spring break drama, but it, once again, proves that the NCAA is a joke. It also makes the SEC look liked scared, whiny *****es.

Michigan wants to hold a week of spring practice in Florida during their spring break. SEC schools and ACC schools are up in arms, and now the NCAA is saying things against it. They are using the excuse that Michigan student athletes will have less time to be a class and it will run up against school, even though the facts are the exact opposite of that. It's all about recruiting, everyone knows it, no one will say.

Its not just a visibility thing for recruiting. Its also a tool to use in recruiting. Come to Michigan and we will take you on an all expense paid trip to Florida for spring break and spring camp.

Ya, I don't get how anyone has a legit complaint against it. Michigan wants to be there to help recruiting, local schools don't want more recruiting competition. That's 100% of the true motives behind both sides.

C'mon down Urbie..set up camp at Brentwood...Do you really think that would fly? It is one thing to recruit another state, but this crosses the line.
